Job Title: Manager IT Projects & Applications Location: New Cairo, Egypt<br>We are looking for you as early as possible as Manager Projects & IT Applicationsfor DB-ELSEWEDY Railway Operation Egypt for the primary location Cairo, Egypt.<br>Reporting to the Head of IT, the Manager IT Projects and Applications is responsible for building and leading the IT delivery function of a greenfield high-speed railway organization in Egypt, overseeing the full lifecycle of enterprise applications from initial project delivery through to steady state operations and continuous improvement. This role starts with a strong project focus as the organization builds out its application landscape and evolves into owning a mature application portfolio as systems go live. You are successful when projects are delivered on time and within scope, live applications are stable and continuously improving, service providers are held to their commitments, and your team grows in capability and ownership over time. As the senior IT representative for application delivery and portfolio management, you are the face of the organization to its application service providers. Responsibilities: Build and lead the IT Projects and Applications function, establishing delivery processes, governance standards, and team structures that scale with the organization. Own the application portfolio across the full lifecycle, from requirements and delivery through to live operations, ensuring systems remain fit for purpose as the organization grows. Lead the delivery of major IT projects, providing senior oversight on planning, risk management, scope control, and stakeholder alignment across complex multi-vendor programs. Define and own the release management framework for application changes, ensuring new functionality and system updates are introduced in a controlled and well-governed manner. Strong experience managing enterprise applications such as ERP, EAM, HRIS, or similar Saa S and cloud-hosted systems across their full lifecycle. Hands-on experience with test management in Saa S environments, including UAT coordination, defect management, acceptance criteria definition, and go-live readiness assessment. Comfortable owning vendor relationships at a strategic level, including commercial reviews, escalations, financial reporting, and forecasting. The CIO assigns specific opportunities to this Investment Director, who takes full Deal Captain accountability from that point through closing and 100-day plan activation. This role combines origination and execution in equal measure — building and maintaining a proprietary pipeline while simultaneously leading deal execution on all assigned transactions.<br>Key Responsibilities1. Pipeline Development & Proprietary Sourcing — Build and manage a diversified deal pipeline across sectors and geographies; develop proprietary sourcing channels beyond traditional banker coverage. Maintain an active, screened pipeline of opportunities to ensure continuous deal flow for CIO assignment.2. Banker & Advisor Relationship Management — Cultivate and maintain relationships with investment banks, M&A advisors, and sector specialists; position Valmore as a preferred buyer in target verticals.3. Sector Coverage & Investment Thesis — Develop sector-specific investment theses aligned with the group's capital allocation strategy; produce sector maps, competitive landscapes, and target long-lists.4. Screening & Go/No-Go Decisions — Lead initial screening of inbound and sourced opportunities; prepare screening memos with preliminary valuation, strategic rationale, and risk flags for CIO review. Upon assignment by the CIO, assume full Deal Captain accountability for all subsequent work on the transaction.5. IC Memo Preparation — Own and prepare Investment Committee memoranda for all assigned deals: investment thesis, financial analysis, deal structure, risk assessment, and go/no-go recommendation. Present directly to the CIO and IC with full ownership of memo quality and completeness.6. Due Diligence Coordination — Design and lead the due diligence process for assigned transactions: scope planning, vendor selection and management, data room oversight, DD workstream coordination, and findings synthesis for IC presentation. Own all DD outputs and escalation decisions.7. SPA & SHA Negotiation — Lead negotiation of share purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, and ancillary transaction documents on assigned deals, in coordination with external legal counsel. Own all commercial and structural positions throughout negotiation.8. Advisor Management — Own the full external advisor team on assigned deals (legal, financial, commercial, technical). Select, brief, manage, and challenge advisors; ensure all workstreams stay on scope, timeline, and budget.9. 100-Day Plan Activation — Develop and activate the 100-day post-close integration and value creation plan for each assigned acquisition, working with operating management and the Investment Monitoring team to ensure a seamless transition from deal close to active portfolio oversight.<br>Budget Responsibility The Investment Director is accountable for the deal-level cost budget covering external advisors, conferences and industry events, market intelligence tools, CRM platform costs, and relationship travel on assigned transactions. Pipeline quality and volume accountability sits with this role: an active pipeline of 15–20 screened opportunities maintained at all times, with 3–5 advancing to detailed screening and a minimum of 2 proprietary (non-brokered) opportunities surfaced per year. This role carries full financial accountability for all assigned deals: origination spend, deal execution costs, and capital deployment accountability sit with this Investment Director from the point of CIO assignment through close. The deal assignment model ensures clear accountability — one named Investment Director owns each transaction end-to-end.<br>Qualifications13–20 years in deal origination, business development, or investment banking coverage, with a demonstrated track record of both sourcing proprietary transactions and executing deals through to close. Existing network of investment bankers, M&A advisors, and corporate contacts across MENA and/or target sectors; plus proven hands-on execution experience (SPA/SHA negotiation, DD coordination, IC memo authorship). Experience developing sector coverage strategies and translating macro theses into actionable pipelines. Strong presentation and relationship skills — able to represent the platform credibly to sellers, bankers, and co-investors. Fluent English and Arabic required. MBA from a top-tier institution preferred. Join us!<br>ABOUT THE ROLE:This role combines deep technical expertise with real impact on customers’ cybersecurity resilience. As part of Group-IB’s global delivery team, you will be at the forefront of deploying and maintaining cutting-edge threat detection technologies - Group-IB XDR and Group-IB BEP - across complex enterprise infrastructures. You will directly influence the security posture of major clients by ensuring flawless product operation, leading implementations, and resolving incidents in real time. This position is ideal for those who enjoy hands-on work with modern cybersecurity stacks, servers, network infrastructure, and virtualization platforms, while continuously collaborating with R&D, Product, and Threat Intelligence teams.<br>YOUR MISSION:Deploy and configure Group-IB XDR and Group-IB BEP for enterprise customers (on-premises and hybrid environments). Conduct installation, integration, and initial configuration of servers, hypervisors, and network components. Perform system diagnostics, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure platform stability. Manage network and email traffic sources (SPAN, TAP, SMTP, O365, Google Mail, etc.) for product integration. Collect and analyze logs, traffic captures, and system data to identify and resolve operational issues. Support pilots and production rollouts, including remote and on-site assistance. Collaborate with Group-IB Product and Development teams to escalate and reproduce complex issues. Prepare technical documentation and communicate implementation progress to customers in English. Maintain high customer satisfaction by providing timely, professional, and effective technical support.<br>WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:Strong hands-on experience with Linux (Arch/Ubuntu) and Windows Server administration. Confident understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, SPAN/RSPAN, GRE, VPN, routing, DHCP, DNS, ARP, and TCP flags. Practical knowledge of firewalls (iptables, nftables, UFW, Windows Firewall). Experience with Open VPN, Wire Guard, and secure remote access configuration. Experience with virtualization platforms (ESXi, Hyper-V): VM deployment, networking, and export. Proficiency with diagnostic tools (tcpdump, Wireshark, curl, openssl) and log analysis (journalctl, Event Viewer). Ability to write and execute scripts in Bash and Power Shell. Understanding of email infrastructure: MX records, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and mail routing. Familiarity with Active Directory, GPO management, and SSH configuration. Experience working with issue-tracking systems (JIRA). English level: B2 or higher — both spoken and written, with confidence in technical communication. Native-level proficiency in Arabic (both written and spoken), with strong business and technical communication skills. <br>Additional requirements:Knowledge of microservice vs monolithic application architecture. Understanding of IPMI (i DRAC/i LO) and BIOS setup for server provisioning. Ability to perform basic hardware replacement (memory, RAID controller, NIC).
