<p>As a senior mechanical engineer (turbine island) you will be required to support the review and oversight of turbine island systems in a nuclear project, ensuring compliance, performance, and integration across design, construction, and commissioning phases.</p>
<h4>Duties and responsibilities</h4>

<h4>Experience and qualifications</h4>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree required (master’s degree beneficial) in mechanical engineering, specializing in power generation and energy.</li>
<li>Strong technical skills; 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering on large scale projects or in nuclear power plant development. Nuclear power industry related experience is required.</li>
<li>Knowledge of water properties (working with the I-S and derivative T-S diagram), thermodynamic, thermohydraulic and hydrodynamic.</li>
<li>Knowledge of vessels operating under pressure and vacuum, rotating equipment (pumps, fans and compressors), valves, heat exchanger installations and associated equipment, fittings and pipelines.</li>
<li>Familiar with design, manufacturing, testing and operational codes and standards for systems under pressure, ventilation, lifting equipment and fire suppression.</li>
<li>Familiar with principles and means of measurement and control of thermohydraulic processes.</li>
<li>2D and 3D CAD, CAM, flow analysis, piping stress analysis, finite element programs software experience is beneficial.</li>

The design engineer will join ADI's data center infrastructure team responsible for the design and verification of high-speed analog/mixed-signal circuits for ADI's next-generation optical interconnect and high-speed memory tester products. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in cutting-edge circuits targeting data rates up to 224 Gbps for NRZ, PAM4, LPO, and CPO optical applications, as well as high-speed HBM memory tester applications.</p><br><p><b>RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p><br><ul><li>Assist in the design and verification of analog/mixed-signal circuits including clock and data recovery (CDR) circuits, high-speed samplers, transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs), equalizers, continuous-time linear equalizers (CTLEs), variable gain amplifiers (VGAs), and output drivers for high-speed NRZ, PAM4, LPO, and CPO optical applications at speeds up to 224 Gbps.</li><li>Assist in the design and verification of high-speed analog/mixed-signal circuits for HBM memory tester applications.</li><li>Support the development of behavioral models of CDR/PLLs to drive architectural decisions and derive block-level requirements for analog and digital blocks.</li><li>Run block-level and top-level mixed-signal simulations to validate circuit and system-level performance.</li><li>Run pre-tapeout verification to confirm design meets performance specifications, power, reliability, and timing requirements.</li><li>Assist in defining production and bench-level test plans for characterization.</li><li>Work with lab engineers in taking lab measurements to validate IP.</li><li>Review ATE and lab test results to support yield analysis and bug fixes.</li><li>Participate in design reviews of blocks to show design meets spec targets and requirements.</li><li>Work closely with senior engineers, digital design, layout, test, and applications teams to deliver products from concept through production.</li></ul><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b></p><br><ul><li>M.S.E.E. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on analog/mixed-signal IC design; or B.S.E.E. with a preferred graduation project related to the analog/mixed-signal IC design field.</li><li>Coursework or project experience in analog/mixed-signal IC design in deep sub-micron CMOS technologies.</li><li>Basic understanding of CDR/PLL architectures and specifications.</li><li>Exposure to mixed-signal simulation tools and flows (e.g., Cadence Spectre, AMS Designer) through coursework or internships.</li><li>Familiarity with Cadence design and verification tools (Virtuoso, Spectre) is preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with layout techniques for high-speed circuits is a plus.</li><li>Experience in the design of high-power DC-DC buck converters for data center applications is a plus.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.</li></ul><p><i>For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
