Role Description
The Oil & Gas Sales Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This role is responsible for identifying and engaging oil and gas clients, promoting steel products (ERW Line Pipes) for petroleum-related applications, and developing tailored technical and commercial proposals. The Sales Engineer will manage the sales cycle from lead generation to closing, conduct site and client visits, and provide technical guidance on product selection and specifications. Daily activities include coordinating with engineering and production teams, preparing quotations and contracts, monitoring market trends and competitors, and maintaining long-term client relationships. The role also involves achieving sales targets, participating in industry events, and providing regular reports and forecasts to management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Petroleum, Industrial, or related discipline) or Business Administration.
3–5 years of proven sales experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
Previous experience in the sales of Line Pipe / OCTG is a plus.
Previous Oil & Gas field operations experience is a plus.
Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business opportunities.
Conduct continuous market scanning across upstream, midstream, and downstream Oil & Gas sectors to identify new projects, generate leads, and expand the assigned customer portfolio.
Strong understanding of the Oil & Gas supply chain, including Operators, EPC contractors, and service companies.
Register our company in all assigned portfolios of Oil & Gas Operators, making sure that we are invited to all RFQs, Tenders & sales occasions.
Identify customers’ needs, discuss customers’ requirements, and advise on the capabilities and limitations of the products, solutions, and services being offered.
Following up on the operations plan for the assigned portfolio to get early information from the clients, to be ready with immediate participation.
Give presentations; demonstrate products and solutions, and provide all the technical and commercial material needed for the customer.
Report to the Sales Manager with sales visits & plan according to the assigned portfolio.
Skills:
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
Ability to understand technical products and recommend suitable solutions.
Good command of English.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools; fluency in English and Arabic is highly beneficial.
Ability to work on-site, travel to client locations as needed, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
