Since 2019, we’ve become the first regulated Open Banking and Open Finance company operating across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. We’ve processed billions of dollars. We connect millions of accounts. We enable companies like Binance, Careem, and Etisalat to build products that were previously impossible in this region. Are you a mechanical engineering fresh graduate who takes pride in precision design — producing precise, well-considered drawings and finding genuine satisfaction in refining solutions across many iterations? Kuwait Institute for Technology is looking for talented engineers to join our remote research and engineering services team. This is a full-time, remote position with a structured, collaborative working environment where your precision and attention to detail directly shape the quality of our engineering solutions.
What You'll Actually Do Your core daily work involves iterative design: producing multiple variations of sketches, CAD drawings, calculations, and technical reports to meet each project's requirements. A single project typically involves 10–20 design iterations. The satisfaction in this role comes from precision, refinement, and technically excellent output — not from switching between disciplines each week.
Project types you will work across:Product Design: conceptualisation and development of mechanical solutions Machine & Structural Design: wind turbines, green buildings, and more MEP Systems Design: HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems Advanced Simulations & Analysis: Solid Works, MATLAB, SAP, and ANSYSYour deliverables will include detailed CAD drawings, technical sketches, manual and computational calculations, simulation models, analysis reports, and technical documents.
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (graduated 2024 or later — this role is designed for fresh graduates) Proficiency in Auto CAD and Solid Works Ability to create technical reports and documentation Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) Strong foundational knowledge of mechanical engineering principles Preferred (Not Required) Experience with MATLAB, SAP, or ANSYSPortfolio showcasing CAD drawings and design projects Any internship or project experience in mechanical design
This Role is Right for You If:You find genuine satisfaction in refining designs across many iterations — producing 15 variations of the same component with increasing precision is meaningful work, not monotony, in your view. You are detail-oriented and methodical in your approach to problem-solving You can work independently under light supervision once trained You are reliable and take deadlines seriously — batch delivery windows are fixed You thrive in an intense work period followed by a structured recovery break
This Role is Probably Not Right for You If:You are primarily looking for field work, manufacturing exposure, or site visits — this is an office-based design role with no site component. You want to work across very different types of engineering tasks each week/day. You have another pending job offer you are waiting to hear back from. You need very flexible working hours — our batch schedule requires reliable availability during active periods.
Why Join KIT? Structured rest built in: 30+ paid vacation days per year in planned batch breaks — not theoretical days you accumulate and never take. Design portfolio growth: build a professional body of work across multiple mechanical engineering domains Clear career path: 3-tier progression (Junior Designer → Design Engineer → Lead Designer) with named salary milestones — and a post-Tier 3 annual merit increment so growth never stops Performance-based salary: compensation grows with your output, not with arbitrary timelines
Position Details Employment Type: Full-Time, Remote Fresh graduates (2024 or later) only Location: Egypt (Remote) Work Schedule: 8 hours/day, 6 days/week (office-like structure but remote) Compensation: 10,000 EGP base salary. Screen allowance of 1,500 EGP activates automatically at Working Day 101. Performance allowance of 1,500 EGP activates partly or totally at the 3-month review subject to performance criteria.
Application We assess the following, in order of importance:Attitude and work ethic Academic performance: grades in key mechanical engineering courses Technical aptitude: CAD portfolio or self-assessment of software proficiency Honest self-assessment: we ask direct questions about how you work — please answer them truthfully, not how you think we want to hear Interview performance and personality fit Shortlisted candidates complete short-design-tasks (1–2 days) before a contract offer. This mirrors real work and helps both you and us assess fit before making a commitment.
About Kuwait Institute for Technology At KIT, we build engineering solutions in mechanical design, research, and engineering services. We invest in people who are serious about the craft of mechanical design, deliver high-quality output under deadline, and want to grow within a structured, professional remote environment.
Kuwait Institute for Technology — Building Tomorrow's Engineering Solutions.
