<h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <p><strong>Job Purpose:</strong></p><br><p>The Junior Utilities Engineer shall support the preparation, drafting, revision, and coordination of </p><br><p>utilities shop drawings for UAE infrastructure projects. </p><br><p>The engineer shall develop capability in utility layouts, profiles, sections, chambers, crossings, </p><br><p>and coordination with roads and structures. </p><br><p>Stormwater, sewerage, potable water, irrigation, firefighting, electrical ducts, telecom ducts, </p><br><p>street lighting, ITS ducts, utility corridors, chambers, manholes, gullies, catch basins, valve </p><br><p>chambers, crossings, and protection details. </p><br><p><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong></p><br><p>1. Prepare utilities shop drawings. </p><br><p>2. Draft utility layouts, profiles, long sections, cross sections, chamber details, manhole </p><br><p>schedules, setting out drawings, and coordination drawings. </p><br><p>3. Review IFC drawings, standard details, specifications, authority requirements. </p><br><p>4. Extract coordinates, levels, pipe sizes, slopes, cover levels, invert levels, chamber </p><br><p>references, and o sets from approved drawings.</p><br><p>5. Support the preparation of gravity line drawings, including stormwater and sewerage </p><br><p>networks. </p><br><p>6. Support the preparation of pressure line drawings, including potable water, irrigation, </p><br><p>and firefighting. </p><br><p>7. Assist in checking pipe gradients, invert levels, cover, manhole depths, and road </p><br><p>crossing details. </p><br><p>8. Coordinate basic interfaces with roads, drainage, structures, street lighting, telecom, </p><br><p>electrical, and existing services. </p><br><p>9. Identify simple clashes, missing levels, wrong chamber references, wrong pipe sizes, </p><br><p>and unclear details. </p><br><p>10. Revise drawings based on senior engineer comments, consultant comments, RFI </p><br><p>responses, and updated IFC drawings. </p><br><p>11. Prepare basic markups and drawing updates for draftsmen when instructed. </p><br><p>12. Check drawing presentation, title blocks, drawing numbers, revision clouds, legends, </p><br><p>notes, references, and CAD layers. </p><br><p>13. Maintain proper drawing files, markups, revision records, and assigned drawing trackers. </p><br><p>14. Support quantity take-o and schedule preparation when required.</p><br><p>15. Escalate any missing information, conflict, or unclear design item to the Senior Utilities </p><br><p>Engineer. </p><br><p><strong>Required Technical Capability: </strong></p><br><p>1. Basic knowledge of utility shop drawings. </p><br><p>2. Good AutoCAD and Civil 3D drafting skills. </p><br><p>3. Basic understanding of gravity and pressure networks. </p><br><p>4. Ability to read utility layouts, profiles, sections, and standard details. </p><br><p>5.
