<h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <span>About FlyAkeed: FlyAkeed is an online platform that helps people book flights and hotels easily.<br> We started in 2017 and are based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.<br> Our travel solution simplifies the process of planning and handling work-related travel.<br> Highlights: Current funding stage: Series A FlyAkeed is supported by PIF subsidiary Sanabil Investments, Elm, Artal Capital, and Alrajhi Partners.<br> At FlyAkeed, we leverage technology to transform corporate travel management.<br> Our Operations team plays a critical role in ensuring seamless travel booking, fulfillment, and customer satisfaction by managing reservations, travel requests, and operational processes through our proprietary platform.<br> We’re looking for an experienced Senior Scrum Master to lead agile delivery across one or more of our software product squads.<br> You’ll be the driving force behind how our teams plan, build, and ship — coaching them toward high performance, removing what slows them down, and partnering closely with Product and Engineering leadership.<br> Beyond serving your own teams, you’ll help shape and elevate agile practices across the wider organization and mentor more junior agile talent.<br> Responsibilities : Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives) for one or more product/engineering squads, keeping them focused and outcome driven.<br> Act as a servant-leader and coach, building genuinely self-organizing, high-performing teams.<br> Proactively identify, track, and remove impediments and dependencies — escalating cross-team blockers before they become bottlenecks.<br> Partner with Product Owners to keep backlogs healthy, well-prioritized, and ready for delivery.<br> Protect the team from scope creep and distraction while maintaining a sustainable delivery pace.<br> Follow and protect the defined Agile playbook, ensuring teams apply agreed ways of working consistently.<br> Track and communicate delivery metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time, predictability) and use them to drive continuous improvement.<br> Coach teams and stakeholders on agile values, Scrum, and Kanban, raising the maturity of agile practice across the company.<br> Manage risks and stakeholder expectations, providing clear, honest visibility into progress and blockers.<br> Mentor the junior Scrum Master and support the broader agile community of practice at Akeed.<br> Contribute to scaling agile ways of working as the organization and number of teams grow.<br> 4+ years of experience in agile delivery as a Scrum Master serving software/product engineering teams.<br> A proven track record of coaching teams to measurable improvements in delivery and quality.<br> Deep, practical understanding of Scrum and Kanban, and comfort adapting frameworks to context rather than applying them by the book.<br> Strong facilitation, conflict-resolution, and stakeholder-management skills.<br> Experience working closely with Product Owners and engineering leads in a modern software environment (CI/CD, cloud, cross-functional teams).<br> Confidence coaching and influencing without direct authority, at both team and leadership level.<br> Fluent English.<br> Certifications Required: A recognized Scrum Master certification — Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I).<br> Preferred: Advanced/professional-level certification (A-CSM, PSM II).<br> Coaching certifications (ICP-ACC) are a plus.<br></span> </div>

Jira) up to date — maintaining boards, sprint data, and reporting.<br> Support the Product Owner with backlog upkeep and sprint preparation.<br> Help produce delivery metrics and simple progress reports for the team and stakeholders.<br> Encourage healthy team collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement.<br> Actively build your agile knowledge and grow toward independently running a team.<br> 0–2 years of experience in an agile team as a Scrum Master.<br> A solid foundational understanding of Scrum and agile principles.<br> Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.<br> Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative, service-minded attitude.<br> Eagerness to learn, take feedback, and grow quickly.<br> Comfort working in a fast-paced software product environment.<br> Fluent English.<br> Certifications: A Scrum Master certification (CSM or PSM) is a plus.<br> If you don’t hold one yet, we’ll expect you to pursue it within your first year.<br> Nice to Have: Exposure to tools such as Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps.<br> A technical or product background, or a genuine interest in software delivery.<br> Experience in travel, fintech, or startup environments.<br></span> </div>
