<p>1. Role Purpose The Fire Chief is to provide strategic leadership and operational management for the Fire Department to ensure effective protection of life, property, and the environment. Acting as the key link between technical strategy and departmental execution, the Fire Chief translates the guidance of the Fire Business Partner into actionable emergency response protocols, rigorous training programs, and efficient resource allocation. This role ensures that the department maintains a constant state of combat readiness while strictly adhering to international fire safety standards and regulatory requirements. 2. Key Responsibilities The Key Responsibilities for a Fire Chief reporting to a Fire Business Partner focus on executing operational excellence while aligning with high-level technical guidance. • Incident Command & Management: Assume ultimate command at major emergency scenes, including fire suppression, hazardous materials mitigation, and rescue operations. • Operational Readiness: Ensure all fire personnel, vehicles, and equipment are in a constant state of combat readiness through rigorous inspection and maintenance programs. • Technical Implementation: Execute technical fire safety strategies and engineering standards developed by the Fire Business Partner to ensure organizational compliance with NFPA or equivalent codes. • Training & Development: Oversee the design and delivery of specialized training programs and drills to enhance the technical proficiency and safety of the fire team. • Risk Assessment: Establish ongoing programs to identify and assess fire hazards across all facilities, combustible commodities, and equipment. • Reporting: provide the Fire Business Partner with detailed technical reports on incident responses, equipment efficiency, and personnel performance metrics. • Protection of Assets: To minimize injury, loss of life, and property damage through rapid, effective fire suppression and rescue operations. • Operational Excellence: To oversee the day-to-day administration and logistical readiness of firefighting personnel and equipment. • Technical Compliance: To implement and enforce safety codes and technical fire engineering standards as directed by the Fire Business Partner. 3. Decision Authority 1. Operational & Command Authority • Incident Command: Absolute authority to dictate tactical maneuvers, resource deployment, and safety protocols during emergency incidents. • Evacuation Power: The authority to order immediate evacuations of buildings or zones when an imminent threat to life or safety is identified. • Emergency Interruption: Authority to shut down hazardous industrial processes or equipment that pose an immediate fire risk or violate safety codes. 2. Personnel & Team Management • Deployment & Assignment: Authority to assign shifts, designate roles, and mobilize personnel based on operational requirements. • Performance Management: Authority to recommend promotions, disciplinary actions, or commendations for fire department staff. • Competency Validation: Decision on whether an individual firefighter is technically fit for duty or requires immediate removal from the line for retraining and recommend disciplinary actions • Training Approval: Authority to mandate specific drills, simulations, and technical training sessions to maintain team certification levels. 3. Resource Authority • Asset Management: Authority to relocate firefighting apparatus (trucks, pumps, specialized tools) across different sites as needed. 4. Technical & Regulatory Authority • Compliance Inspections: Authority to access any area within the organization’s jurisdiction to conduct fire safety audits and inspections. • SOP Development: Authority to draft and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), subject to the final technical review of the Fire Business Partner.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li><p>Education : High degree.</p><p> </p><p>Good English read, write, and spoke.</p><p> </p><p>Computer skills ICDL Certification</p><p> </p><p>Communications and leadership skills</p><p> </p><p>Experience :</p><p> </p><ul><li><p>Fire & safety not less seven years in fire teams leading supported with courses and certificates.</p></li></ul><p> </p><ul><li><p>Good knowledge in the fire alarm and fire suppression systems.</p></li></ul><p> </p><ul><li><p>Good knowledge in firefighting pipelines and networks</p></li></ul><p> </p><ul><li><p>Goos knowledge about chemical hazards.</p></li></ul><p> </p><ul><li><p>Good knowledge in mechanical and electric.</p></li></ul><p> </p><ul><li><p>Good knowledge in national and international fire codes.</p></li></ul><p> </p><ul><li><p>Able to perform the fire teams strategical training plan and develop it and follow up fire brigade fleet redness.</p></li></ul><p> </p><ul><li><p>Able to lead the emergency different cases.</p></li></ul><p> </p><ul><li><p>Able to supervision and follow up executing fire alarm and firefighting systems projects.</p></li></ul><p> </p></li></ul><p></p>
