Role Description The Senior Full-Stack & Data Engineer – E-commerce is a full-time, on-site role based in Nasr City, Cairo. The role is responsible for building and maintaining Malabisy’s e-commerce technology, data infrastructure, integrations, internal systems, and automation. This is a highly hands-on hybrid role covering three core areas: Shopify & Full-Stack Development, Data Engineering & Business Intelligence, and Internal Systems & Automation. The role will own Shopify development and customization, including theme development, Liquid, APIs, apps, integrations, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and custom functionality. The candidate will also be responsible for integrating Shopify with third-party platforms and resolving technical issues across the e-commerce technology stack. The role will build and maintain Malabisy’s data infrastructure by integrating data from Shopify, Meta, Google, Tik Tok, GA4, and other business systems into centralized data environments such as Big Query, while building advanced Looker Studio dashboards and reliable reporting systems. The role will also design and develop internal business systems, ERP capabilities, automated workflows, operational tools, and vendor dashboards to reduce manual work, improve data accessibility, and create scalable internal processes. The ideal candidate must be able to work across the full technical lifecycle — from business requirement and system architecture to development, data integration, deployment, automation, and ongoing maintenance. Qualifications5+ years of strong hands-on experience in Full-Stack Development, Data Engineering, E-commerce Technology, or a combination of these areas. Strong hands-on experience with Shopify development and customization. Strong knowledge of Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, Java Script, Shopify APIs, Graph QL, and Webhooks. Proven experience customizing Shopify themes and developing custom storefront functionality. Strong experience working with Shopify Apps, APIs, and third-party integrations. Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, authentication, data synchronization, and system integrations. Strong hands-on experience with SQL, Big Query, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data pipelines. Proven experience building advanced Looker Studio dashboards using multiple data sources. Experience integrating data from Shopify, Meta Ads, Google Ads, Tik Tok Ads, GA4, and other platforms. Strong ability to clean, transform, structure, and analyze large datasets. Experience building internal systems, ERP solutions, operational platforms, workflow automation, or custom business tools. Experience developing vendor portals / dashboards or external-facing internal systems is highly preferred. Strong frontend and backend development capabilities. Strong understanding of databases, system architecture, scalability, and maintainability. Ability to identify manual processes and turn them into automated, scalable workflows. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Ability to independently own projects from architecture to deployment and maintenance. Strong communication skills and ability to work with Marketing, Commercial, Operations, Finance, and Management teams. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience. Ability to work on-site in Nasr City, Cairo, 5 days per week, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Important: This is not a traditional Shopify Developer, Data Analyst, or Full-Stack Developer role. We are specifically looking for a senior technical professional with strong, practical experience across three separate disciplines:Shopify & Full-Stack Development + Data Engineering & BI + Internal Systems & Automation.
