dir="rtl">تنفيذ كافة الأعمال المتعلقة بحماية البيئة البحرية داخل نطاق الهيئة، وفق الأسس والمعايير الدولية والإقليمية، بهدف الحد من مخاطر التلوث بجميع صوره والسيطرة عليه وخفض أضراره، وخاصة المخاطر الهيئة.</span></p></li><li><p ><span lang="ar" dir="rtl">الإشراف على إجراء الدراسات والبحوث العلمية لتحديد مسببات التلوث في حدود النطاق الجغرافي للهيئة.</span></p></li><li><p ><span lang="ar" dir="rtl">الإشراف على إعداد الدراسات والبحوث العلمية الخاصة بالوسائل الكيميائية والميكانيكية اللازمة لمكافحة التلوث بأنواعه المختلفة، مثل الزيوت والكيماويات والصرف الصحي وغيرها.</span></p></li><li><p تصدر من المنظمة البحرية الدولية (IMO) للحيلولة دون تلوث البيئة البحرية الناجم عن تسريبات السفن.</span></p></li><li><p ><span lang="ar" dir="rtl">المشاركة في أعمال اللجنة الخاصة بدراسة تقييم الأثر البيئي على المشروعات الاقتصادية بالهيئة.</span></p></li><li><p ><span lang="ar" dir="rtl">الإشراف على إعداد ونشر برامج التثقيف والتوعية البيئية حول أهمية حماية البيئة البحرية وتبادل الخبرات والمعرفة
