In this role, you will lead the design review process for structural projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, building codes, and organizational quality benchmarks. You will provide technical expertise, mentorship, and strategic oversight to support the successful delivery of complex structural engineering projects across various sectors.<br><br>Conduct comprehensive design reviews of structural drawings, calculations, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to applicable building codes and standards Evaluate structural design proposals and provide detailed technical feedback to design teams, identifying potential risks and recommending improvements Verify that all structural designs meet Egyptian building codes, international standards, and client specifications Lead quality assurance processes and establish design review protocols to maintain consistent engineering excellence Mentor junior engineers and design staff, providing guidance on best practices, technical standards, and professional development Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, MEP engineers, and project managers to resolve design conflicts and optimize structural solutions Prepare comprehensive design review reports, technical assessments, and recommendations for project stakeholders Maintain detailed documentation of design reviews, approvals, and modifications for project records and compliance purposes Identify and assess technical risks during the design phase and develop mitigation strategies Stay current with evolving building codes, engineering standards, and industry best practices relevant to the Cairo market<br><br><br>Qualifications<br><br>Minimum 10 years of professional structural engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead design review capacity Advanced proficiency in structural analysis and design software (STAAD. Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, or equivalent) Comprehensive knowledge of Egyptian building codes and international structural design standards Strong understanding of reinforced concrete, steel, and composite structural systems Demonstrated expertise in design quality assurance and technical review processes Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities with experience managing technical teams Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous Proficiency in technical documentation, report writing, and presentation of complex engineering concepts Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and digital design tools Knowledge of construction methodologies and constructability assessment Professional engineering licensure or registration (preferred) Experience coordinating with regulatory authorities and managing design approvals in Egypt (preferred)
