About Pokamind

Pokamind is an early-stage startup working at the intersection of AI and robotics. We're a small team building real products, not slide decks, and we're now at the point where we need someone who can go out and open doors for us across the EMEA region.

You won't be handed a playbook and a warm pipeline. You'll help us build both.

The role

We're looking for a senior business developer who genuinely gets excited about AI and robotics and can translate that into real conversations with real people. Because we're a startup, the job is deliberately broad. On any given week you might be mapping out a market, writing outreach that doesn't sound like everyone else's, sitting on a call with a potential partner, or feeding what you hear back to the product team so we build the right thing.

Concretely, you'll be:

Finding and qualifying potential clients and partners across EMEA, and figuring out which ones are actually worth our time.

Owning outreach end to end, from the first message to the signed agreement, including the marketing and positioning work that makes that outreach land.

Building and nurturing partnerships, especially with people and organisations you already know or can reach through your network in the region.

Negotiating and closing deals, then staying close enough to keep those relationships healthy.

Working shoulder to shoulder with the founders on strategy, pricing, and where we point the company next.

The role is fully remote. We care about what you deliver, not which chair you sit in.

Who we think will do well here

Honestly, the network matters. If you already have real relationships across EMEA in AI, robotics, industrial, or adjacent tech spaces, that's a huge part of what we're hiring for. Beyond that, we're looking for someone comfortable with the ambiguity of a startup, who can run without a manager standing over them, and who's just as happy writing a cold email as they are in a boardroom.

If you've been the person who built a function from scratch before, you'll feel at home.

What we offer

A genuine seat at the table and real ownership of the commercial side of the business. The freedom to work how and where you work best. And the rare chance to shape a company in AI and robotics while it's still small enough that your decisions actually move the needle.

If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you, and we're especially interested in the specific EMEA relationships you'd bring with you.

Requirements

6+ years in business development, sales, or partnerships, ideally some of it in a startup or early-stage environment.

A real, active network across the EMEA region that you can put to work from day one.

Genuine interest in AI and robotics, enough to hold your own in a technical conversation and speak credibly to prospects.

A track record of finding, opening, and closing deals on your own, not just managing an inherited pipeline.

Comfort wearing several hats: outreach, marketing, partnerships, negotiation, and market research.

Strong written and spoken English; other EMEA languages are a real plus.

Self-starter mindset. You're organised, you follow through, and you don't need to be managed closely.

Happy working fully remote and across different time zones.
