Role Description The Procurement Engineer Architect is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This role is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and selecting materials and equipment for fit-out and finishing projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and budget constraints. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing project designs and bills of quantities, preparing and issuing requests for quotations, negotiating with suppliers, and coordinating procurement schedules with project and engineering teams. The position also involves reviewing vendor submittals, tracking orders, managing documentation, and resolving procurement-related issues to keep projects on time and within budget. The Procurement Engineer Architect collaborates closely with design, engineering, and logistics teams to align procurement activities with project execution plans and client requirements. Qualifications Strong technical background in engineering or architecture, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities. Experience in procurement for construction, fit-out, or finishing projects, including supplier sourcing, evaluation, and negotiation. Knowledge of materials, systems, and finishes used in high-end commercial and residential projects. Proficiency in project coordination, scheduling, and cost control as related to procurement activities. Familiarity with procurement software, ERP systems, and standard documentation processes. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the capacity to manage multiple orders and deadlines. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage. Experience in international procurement or dealing with global suppliers is beneficial. Ability to work on-site in Cairo, Egypt and collaborate in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
