About the Job:<br>The Bodyshop Electrical & Automation Maintenance Senior Specialist is a key leadership role responsible for the entire electrical infrastructure, control systems, and automation software within the highly automated Automotive Bodyshop (Body-in-White or BIW) assembly area. This position directs the electrical and automation team to ensure maximum reliability and efficiency of all robotic welding, assembly, and transfer equipment, guaranteeing continuous, high-quality production flow while strictly maintaining safety and code compliance.<br>Responsibilities:<br>Robotic Automation (PLCs & Programming):Manages the team responsible for the troubleshooting, modification, and optimization of PLC programs (Preferred Siemens) that control the entire robotic assembly process, cell interlocking, and safety functions. Technology Transactions & Commercial Contracting (Core) Draft, review and negotiate Saa S, software, AI, cloud and professional-services agreements, including MSAs, Order Forms, SOWs, SLAs, DPAs, NDAs and vendor agreements Handle key technology clauses including scope, acceptance/UAT, change control, service levels, IP/licensing, data use, confidentiality, security, warranties, indemnities, limitation of liability, audit, termination and exit Build practical templates, clause libraries, fallback positions and contract-review playbooks that support fast and consistent execution Work with commercial and delivery teams to reduce scope ambiguity, control delivery risk and maintain clear responsibility lines. 3. Privacy, Data Protection & Data Governance (Core) Advise on privacy and data-protection requirements affecting product, contracting and operations, with primary focus on the UAE, Egypt and Saudi Arabia Draft and negotiate DPAs, controller/processor clauses, data-sharing terms, sub-processor provisions and cross-border transfer language Support DPIA-style assessments, privacy-by-design, retention, breach-response and data-governance questions Use GDPR as an enterprise contracting reference point where relevant, while applying local legal requirements. 4. AI Governance, Cybersecurity & Trust (Supporting) Draft practical AI governance policies, customer addendums and internal controls covering acceptable use, transparency, human oversight, data use, logging/traceability and safe-use responsibilities Translate cybersecurity and trust requirements into clear contract commitments, including incident/breach terms, audit rights, security schedules, access-control and encryption obligations Support customer/vendor due diligence and security questionnaires with technical teams, ensuring legal commitments match actual controls. 5. IP, Corporate & General Legal Support (Supporting) Support IP ownership, licensing, software/content rights, trademarks, confidentiality and data-use rights relevant to our products and commercial relationships Support corporate governance and cross-entity matters where required, including approvals, delegations and board/shareholder documentation Provide practical support on employment, vendor and general commercial matters, coordinating with local or specialist counsel where deeper tax, labour or regulatory expertise is required. Baseline Knowledge UAE, Egypt and Saudi PDPL/data-protection regimes and their practical impact on contracts and digital products Technology contracts, Saa S/cloud delivery models, software licensing and enterprise procurement expectations AI/Gen AI legal risk, responsible-use controls, human oversight and emerging AI governance requirements Cybersecurity/cybercrime legal expectations as they affect incident response, digital evidence, customer commitments and risk allocation Electronic transactions, e-signatures and trust-services concepts relevant to digital contracting GDPR and the EU AI Act as important comparative and enterprise reference frameworks<br><br>Requirements<br><br>Qualifications:<br><br> Law degree (LLB, JD or LLM) from a recognized university; Bar admission or recognized professional legal qualification preferred Typically 4-8+ years of relevant legal experience; demonstrable hands-on capability and quality of work will be weighted more heavily than title or years alone Strong practical experience in at least two of: Legal Tech / AI product work, technology contracting, privacy/data protection, AI governance, cybersecurity legal work or IP Ability to draft and negotiate technology/privacy documents independently and explain legal positions in practical business language Comfort working directly with product, engineering, security and commercial stakeholders Fluent Arabic and strong professional English Based in Cairo or able to work hybrid from Cairo, with occasional travel to Abu Dhabi/Dubai (approximately 10-15%) Comfortable in an early-stage, fast-moving technology company with a high degree of ownership<br><br>Strongly Preferred:<br><br> Hands-on experience with a Legal Tech, AI, Saa S, cloud, fintech or other technology product company Experience converting legal requirements into product workflows, review logic, policies, controls, playbooks or evaluation criteria Practical experience with AI/Gen AI governance, model/output risk, legal research validation or human-review controls Privacy or AI-governance credentials (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, AIGP) or equivalent demonstrable capability Working familiarity with enterprise trust frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 42001 and ISO/IEC 27701 Experience handling enterprise customer security/privacy due diligence and contract negotiations
