Role Description The Qc Section Head is a full-time, on-site role based in North Coast A, BC, responsible for leading the quality control function on construction projects. This role oversees the implementation of quality standards, procedures, and inspection plans to ensure compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and company policies. The Qc Section Head coordinates daily inspections, reviews materials and workmanship, documents non-conformities, and follows up on corrective and preventive actions. The role includes supervising QC staff, liaising with project managers, site engineers, and external stakeholders, and preparing regular quality reports and documentation. The Qc Section Head also participates in risk assessments, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and promotes a culture of safety and quality across the project site.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in #Arch or #Civil Engineering . +15 years of experience in #quality control within the #construction. Strong knowledge of quality control #methodologies, #standards, and best #practices. Ability to interpret #technical drawings, #specifications, and #blueprints. Good knowledge of #EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) principles and compliance requirements Proficiency in using quality management #software and MS Office applications. Ability to lead and supervise QC teams, coordinate with multidisciplinary project stakeholders, and manage workloads effectively. Excellent documentation skills, including report writing, record keeping, and use of QC forms and checklists. Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards) and continuous improvement practices. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced site environment.
