We are seeking a Senior ABAP Developer Full Stack to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing ABAP-based solutions that align with our organization's needs. The Senior ABAP Developer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including SAP functional consultants, project managers, and enterprise architects, to ensure that the solutions meet business requirements and are scalable, secure, efficient, and reliable.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:• Technical Development:o Develop, modify, and enhance custom SAP applications using ABAP programming language, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF).o Write efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code that meets organizational and SAP best practices.o Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and implement solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing SAP modules.• Problem Solving and Debugging:o Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues within SAP systems, including debugging existing programs and performing root cause analysis for system errors or inefficiencies.o Provide timely and effective support to resolve user-reported issues and implement enhancements as needed.• Documentation and Testing:o Create and maintain technical documentation for all developments, ensuring that coding standards, naming conventions, and documentation practices are consistently followed.o Participate in and support unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that developments meet the specified requirements and are free from defects.• Collaboration and Communication:o Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other IT professionals, to deliver projects on time and within scope.o Effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.• Continuous Improvement:o Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies, tools, and methodologies, including S/4HANA, ABAP on HANA, and SAP Fiori.o Proactively suggest and implement improvements to existing SAP solutions to enhance performance, scalability, and user experience.• Project Management Support:o Contribute to project planning activities by providing accurate estimates of development efforts and timelines.o Assist in the preparation of project documentation, such as technical specifications, project plans, and progress reports.
ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?• University Degree in IT.• 8+ years of IT Experience in the development of customer systems across multiple technology domains.• Proven knowledge in writing, debugging, and optimizing ABAP code (5+ years)• Excellent knowledge in forms (adobe forms, smart forms, sap script)• Excellent knowledge in ABAP workbench tools, workflows, OO-ABAP• Very good knowledge in Webservices (SOAP and REST)• Proven knowledge in SAP Fiori/UI5(CDS, Java Script, AMDP, Web IDE, SAP BTP, BAS)• Excellent knowledge of functional SAP modules (e.g. SD/MM/HR/FI/CO) is a plus.• Very good knowledge in developing ODATA.• Very good knowledge with SAP Change and Release Management (Cha RM) functionality is a plus.• Experience with ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) is a plus.• Experience/knowledge of agile frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum is beneficial.• Experience with work management tools such as Azure Dev Ops, Jira, SNOW is a plus.• Strong quality-based ethic including deployment practices.• Ability to analyze and critically assess problems.• Ability to see the big picture as well as paying attention to the smallest detail.• Desired experience of IT services in complex multinational environments• Holder of relevant certifications for Fiori, BTP, ABAP on Cloud, is a plus.• Good understanding of mission critical architectures, business continuity and disaster recovery planning, implementation and testing• Experience in migrating large size systems to cloud [e.g. CRM, ERP, BW]• Experience in Azure Cloud is a major advantage.• Excellent spoken and written English.• Communication and organizational skills
