<p>The General Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations for AL-TAREEQ, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial record keeping. This role supports financial reporting, internal controls, and provides vital data to support management decisions. Key Responsibilities Record, reconcile, and maintain general ledger entries for all companies transactions (accruals, prepayments, amortizations, etc.). Process accounts receivable and accounts payable: invoice generation, vendor invoices, collections, payments. Bank reconciliations and cash postings; monitor cash balances. Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes; prepare adjusting journal entries. Support preparation of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and management reports. VAT, tax and statutory compliance: ensure accurate VAT returns, withholding tax, and other regulatory filings. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis under guidance. Maintain fixed assets register: depreciation, additions/disposals. Support internal and external audits: preparation of schedules, responses, and documentation. Ensure accounting policies and procedures are followed; suggest improvements.</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>Qualifications & Skills Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience (industry experience desirable). Solid understanding of Egyptian Accounting Standards / IFRS. Hands-on experience with accounting software / ERP systems. Strong Excel skills; ability to analyze data and prepare meaningful reports. Attention to detail, accuracy and strong numerical skills.
