Role Description the Mechanical Design Team Leader is a full-time, on-site role based in New Cairo, responsible for leading mechanical design activities across diverse building and infrastructure projects. This role oversees the mechanical design team, coordinates workloads, and ensures that HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, and other mechanical systems are designed according to relevant codes, client requirements, and project timelines. Daily tasks include reviewing and developing mechanical drawings and specifications, guiding CAD designers, conducting design coordination with other disciplines, and participating in technical meetings with internal teams and clients. The Mechanical Design Team Leader also provides support during tendering and construction phases through design clarifications, inspections, and resolution of site-related technical issues. Job Responsibilities:Lead and deliver mechanical design works for various building projects from concept design through detailed/IFC design stages. Design and review HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, and Firefighting systems in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes and standards. Perform and review engineering calculations, including cooling/heating loads, equipment sizing, duct sizing, pipe sizing, hydraulic calculations, and pump selection. Prepare and review mechanical design drawings, schematics, equipment schedules, specifications, BOQs, and design reports. Develop and review Revit MEP models and ensure proper BIM coordination with Architectural, Structural, and Electrical disciplines. Coordinate mechanical systems with other disciplines and resolve design clashes and technical issues. Review technical submissions, shop drawings, material submittals, and RFIs when required. Ensure that all design deliverables comply with project specifications, applicable local regulations, and international standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and IPC.
