About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HVAC Design Engineer specializing in District Cooling Networks to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, design, analysis, and coordination of district cooling systems, chilled water distribution networks, and related HVAC infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Design and develop district cooling networks, chilled water transmission and distribution systems. Perform hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, pressure drop analysis, and network optimization. Prepare HVAC and district cooling design drawings, layouts, specifications, and technical reports. Conduct cooling load calculations and evaluate plant and network capacities. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, mechanical, electrical, and infrastructure engineers. Review and ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and client requirements. Prepare tender documents, BOQs, technical specifications, and design reports. Participate in design reviews, value engineering studies, and technical meetings. Support project managers during project execution and provide technical guidance when required. Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and material approvals. Utilize engineering software for hydraulic modeling and HVAC system analysis. Requirements Education Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC Engineering. Experience7–10 years of experience in HVAC design and district cooling projects. Proven experience in the design of chilled water distribution networks and district cooling systems. Experience working on infrastructure, utility, or large-scale development projects is highly preferred. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of:District Cooling Systems Chilled Water Networks Hydraulic Modeling Pumping Stations Energy Transfer Stations (ETS) HVAC Design Standards Proficiency in:Auto CADRevit MEPCivil 3D (preferred) Water GEMS / Sewer GEMS / Open Flows (preferred) HAPPipe Flow Expert Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications Experience in GCC projects (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, etc.). Knowledge of ASHRAE, CIBSE, and District Cooling Design Standards. Professional certifications are an advantage.
