About us Tamimi Steel & Membrane has designed, built and installed steel and tensile membrane structures in Saudi Arabia since 1951. Our work includes the King Fahad National Library, the Jamarat Bridge roof and the Mina tents for Hajj, King Abdullah Financial District, and stadium roofs in Taif, Makkah and Tripoli. The role We price work that isn't in a catalogue — long-span roofs, space frames, architectural and bespoke connections, and PTFE/PVC membrane systems. Every job is an engineering problem, not a repeat order. You will own the number that goes to the client, from enquiry to submitted bid. You will also help us build the rate structure that makes that number consistent from one job to the next.<br>What you'll do Review incoming enquiries — check the scope, drawings and BOQ are complete, and chase what's missing straight away. Take off quantities from drawings, and build the BOQ yourself when the client hasn't given us one. Work with procurement to compare steel prices across local, GCC and Far East suppliers, and land the true delivered cost including shipping, customs and VAT. Calculate coating areas from drawings and price the paint system, including fireproof where it's specified. Price membrane fabric and hardware with our supply base. Build and maintain our rates for fabrication, painting labour, installation, shop drawings and third-party inspection. Set contingency and price-fluctuation allowances on a clear basis, not job by job. Compare actual costs against what we quoted after we win, and correct the rates. Join technical and commercial clarifications with clients, consultants and main contractors. Offer value-engineering alternatives where a different section or connection saves money without breaking compliance. Keep bids, revisions and outcomes recorded so we can measure what we win and why.<br>What you need Degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering.5+ years estimating structural steel fabrication and erection. on non-standard work — long-span, space frame, architectural steel. Able to take off quantities from structural and shop drawings on your own. Familiar with fabrication and welding standards — EN 1090, ISO 3834 or AWS D1.1 — and what meeting it actually costs. Strong Excel. Professional English.
