Role Description The MEP Mechanical Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Alexandria. The supervisor oversees daily mechanical works for MEP systems, including planning, coordinating, and monitoring installation, operation, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines. Responsibilities include supervising technical teams, assigning tasks, reviewing work progress, conducting inspections of mechanical systems, and reporting on site performance and issues. The role also involves implementing preventive and corrective maintenance plans, resolving technical problems, coordinating with other disciplines and subcontractors, and supporting documentation, handover, and commissioning activities for mechanical systems.<br>Qualifications<br> <br>Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, including team leadership, task coordination, and performance monitoring. Candidates should possess experience in Maintenance Management, covering planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for mechanical systems. Experience of not less than 3 years in the field of mechanical maintenance, preferably in food industries knowledge of maintenance of gearboxes, motors, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, alignment work, and root cause analysis of failures. Responsibilities: Leading diagnostic work for mechanical failures and repairing production and packaging equipment, including furnaces, gearboxes, motors, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and HVAC systems. Prepare and implement preventive maintenance plans and programs according to approved schedules. Analyze fault data and Downtime to identify root causes, and propose and implement corrective and preventive actions. Coordinate with the production team to minimize equipment downtime during maintenance. Manage spare parts specifications, participate in supplier selection, and monitor inventory to ensure availability. Support installation of new equipment, alignment adjustment, and participate in initial commissioning. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and occupational standards and procedures during all maintenance work. Implementation and supervision of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for mechanical equipment and machines at the slaughterhouse. Monitor the technical condition of the equipment, analyze root causes of failures, and establish corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Supervising maintenance work on slaughter line operations, conveyors, cutting equipment, packaging equipment, and internal transport systems. Monitoring maintenance of mechanical facilities including steam, compressed air, water, industrial wastewater, and fire protection systems. Coordination with Production Management to ensure maintenance work is carried out without affecting the operational plan. Review and approve daily maintenance reports and analyze equipment performance indicators. Monitor availability of critical spare parts and coordinate with Stores and Purchasing Management to meet technical requirements. Participate in installing, commissioning, and technically receiving new equipment. Supervise external contractors during maintenance work and ensure conformity with technical specifications. Ensure adherence to quality, food safety, and occupational health and safety procedures during maintenance work. Prepare periodic reports on equipment faults, maintenance performance, and spare parts consumption, and propose opportunities for continuous improvement.
