We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Project Engineer to support Project Managers across multiple active commercial construction projects within a fast-paced General Contractor / Design-Build environment. This role has a strong focus on submittals, quantity takeoffs, RFIs, project coordination, document control, and cost support. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing several projects at the same time, shifting priorities when needed, and coordinating effectively with subcontractors, consultants, design teams, and internal stakeholders.<br>Key Responsibilities Support Project Managers with daily project coordination across multiple active projects. Manage submittals and RFIs end-to-end, including shop drawings, product data, samples, tracking, follow-up, and coordination with architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Perform quantity takeoffs and support estimating and preconstruction activities across multiple construction scopes. Review and coordinate plans, specifications, shop drawings, addenda, revisions, and other technical documentation. Support scope reviews, subcontractor bid comparisons, and identification of potential scope gaps. Coordinate with project and field teams to ensure drawings, quantities, specifications, and site conditions remain aligned. Add the meeting minutes agenda, action items and distribute them to the attendees Support procurement, subcontractor documentation, cost tracking, invoice/pay application review, and change documentation. Assist with punch lists, warranties, O&M manuals, and as-built documentation as required. Maintain accurate project information using Procore or similar construction project management software.<br>Requirements Must-Have Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Hands-on experience managing construction submittals and the ability to clearly explain the submittal process from start to finish. Hands-on experience performing quantity takeoffs. Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and technical documentation. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to support multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously. High attention to detail with strong documentation and follow-up skills. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.<br>Preferred1–4 years of relevant construction experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, Technical Office Engineer, Project Coordinator, Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, or similar role. Experience working within a General Contractor or Design-Build environment. Experience supporting multiple small-to-mid-sized commercial construction projects. Experience with architectural finishes, interiors, carpentry, drywall, ceilings, flooring, or similar scopes. Experience with RFIs, change orders, pay applications, procurement, subcontract administration, or project closeout. Experience using Procore or similar construction management software.
