Acts as liaison between field salesperson and customer throughout the event process (pre-event, event, post-event). Participates in customer site inspections and assists with the sales process as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs. Solicits feedback from the property departments to identify areas for improvement to enhance the Event Planner s experience.</p><p>Ensuring and Providing Exceptional Customer Service Delivers excellent customer service throughout the customer experience and encourages the same from other employees. Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service. Sets a positive example for guest relations. Coordinates and communicates event details both verbally and in writing to the customer and property operations. Makes presence known to customer at all times during this process. Oversees his/her customer experiences from file turnover through the post event phase until turnover back to sales. Follows up with customer post-event. Responds to and handles guest problems and complaints. Uses personal judgment and expertise to enhance the customer experience. Stays available to solve problems and/or suggest alternatives to previous arrangements. Works to continually improve customer service by integrating obtained feedback and personal judgment into action plans. Emphasizes guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focuses on continuous improvement. Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels. Ensures hourly employees understand expectations and parameters for event activities.</p><p>Leading Event Management Teams Conducts formal pre- and post-event meetings as required to review/communicate group needs and feedback. Leads formal pre-event and post-event meetings for average to large-sized assigned groups. Facilitates various meetings as he/she perceives necessary (Banquet Event Order meeting, block review, etc).</p><p>Supporting and Coordinating with the Sales and Marketing Function Assists in the sales process and revenue forecasting for customer groups. Up-sells products and services throughout the event process. Forecasts group sleeping rooms and event revenue (catering and audio visual) for his/her groups.</p><p>Conducting Human Resources Activities Reviews comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees. Observes service behaviors of employees and provides feedback to individuals and/or managers. Assists in the development and implementation of corrective action plans. Take initiative to use his/her experience to improve service performance according to his/her evaluation of the issue and resolution. Works with the property staff and customers to address operational challenges associated with his/her group. Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)</strong></p><p>• Facilitate and chair the monthly S&OP cycle: Pre-S&OP demand review, supply review, financial reconciliation, and Executive S&OP sign-off.</p><p>• Prepare S&OP meeting packs including demand vs. supply gap analysis, inventory projections, and risk/opportunity registers.</p><p>• Ensure alignment between commercial commitments and supply capacity across all 7 business units.</p><p>• Track and communicate consensus plan to procurement, warehouse, and finance teams.</p><p> </p><p><strong>C. Inventory Management & Optimization</strong></p><p>• Define and maintain optimum inventory levels — safety stock, reorder points, and min/max parameters — using ABC/XYZ segmentation across ~4,000 active SKUs.</p><p>• Monitor inventory health metrics: Days of Supply on Hand (DSOH), stock coverage, excess & obsolete (E&O) inventory, and slow-moving items.</p><p>• Execute periodic physical inventory counts and cycle counts; reconcile system vs. physical balances in ERP system.</p><p>• Drive inventory reduction initiatives without compromising service levels; maintain target fill rate across all product categories.</p><p>• Manage shelf-life and expiry risk for medical consumables and pharmaceutical-grade raw materials.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>D. Production Planning (MTO / MTS)</strong></p><p>• Develop and release Master Production Schedules (MPS) for Make-to-Stock (MTS) and Make-to-Order (MTO) products aligned with capacity constraints.</p><p>• Coordinate with Manufacturing and Quality teams to incorporate production lead times, batch sizes, and changeover requirements into plans.</p><p>• Monitor production adherence to plan (Schedule Attainment %) and escalate deviations in a timely manner.</p><p>• Plan raw material requirements using MRP outputs and ensure materials are available ahead of production schedules.</p><p> </p><p><strong>E. Purchase Requisitions (PRs)</strong></p><p>• Issue and manage Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for all trading items, raw materials, and imported goods across 40+ foreign agents/suppliers.</p><p>• Review and approve replenishment orders generated from MRP/DRP runs in ERP system</p><p>• Coordinate with the Procurement team on supplier lead times, MOQs, LC requirements, and import documentation to align purchase plans.</p><p>• Manage order prioritization during supply shortages or disruptions, ensuring critical items are sourced on time.</p><p> </p><p><strong>F. Team Leadership & Development</strong></p><p>• Directly manage and develop the planning team (demand planners, inventory analysts, production planners, and data analysts).</p><p>• Set clear KPIs, conduct regular performance reviews, and build individual development plans for team members.</p><p>• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional collaboration.</p><p>• Conduct training on planning tools, ERP system usage, and best-practice supply chain methodologies.</p><p> </p><p><strong>G. Required Qualifications</strong></p><p><strong>Education</strong></p><p>• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Pharmacy, or a related field.</p><p><strong>Professional Experience</strong></p><p>• Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.</p><p>• Proven experience in the medical devices, pharmaceutical, or FMCG industry — preferably within Egypt or the MENA region.</p><p>• Demonstrated track record of managing planning for both trading (import) and manufacturing (MTO/MTS) environments.</p><p>• Hands-on experience managing large SKU portfolios (>1,000 SKUs) with multiple product categories and diverse supplier bases.</p><p>• Prior exposure to S&OP facilitation and cross-functional stakeholder management at a senior level.</p><p><strong>Professional Certifications (Preferred)</strong></p><p>• CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) - Preferred</p><p> </p><p><strong>4. To predict effects of environment and efficiency of energy on purchased<br>equipment.<br>* To implement his responsibilities in order to eliminate and collect waste in a proper<br>way, reduce environmental pollution and harmful effects to the environment.<br>* Carry out all responsibilities related to the quality management and food safety<br>management systems implemented at the facility.<br>* Carry out all other duties assigned by managers and hotel management not specified in<br>the job description</p><br><br>Qualifications<br><br><p>* Education: Bachelor’s Degree<br>* Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the industry following theoretical<br>education.</p><br><p>* Foreign Language: Sufficient level of English and Arabic to communicate<br>effectively with guests and employees.<br>* Courses and Training: Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge.</p><br><p>* Computer Literacy: MS Office applications, Front Office operating programmes (Fidelio, Opera etc.)</p><br><p>* Skills: Expected to have comprehensive technical knowledge and work experience<br>related to the methods, advanced techniques, special equipment and work processes in<br>the related field.
