About the Role<br>The Technical Office Manager will be responsible for managing the technical office and turning approved designs and client requirements into accurate and complete shop drawings, technical details, BOMs, and production documents.<br>The role requires close coordination with Sales, Design, Costing, Production, and Quality to make sure every project is technically clear and ready for manufacturing.<br>Key Responsibilities<br>* Manage the Technical Office team and distribute tasks according to project priorities and deadlines.* Review project requirements, specifications, and scope of work before starting the technical documentation.* Review design concepts and ensure that all required technical information is available.* Prepare and review shop drawings for furniture, doors, woodwork, and custom-made projects.* Develop detailed drawings showing dimensions, materials, construction methods, and assembly details.* Prepare 3D models and visualizations when required.* Prepare cutting details, assembly details, and manufacturing details according to project requirements.* Prepare and review BOMs (Bill of Materials) in coordination with the Costing and Production teams.* Ensure that drawings and technical details are compatible with available materials, hardware, machinery, and production methods.* Review designs from a Design for Manufacturing (DFM) perspective and identify potential production issues before manufacturing starts.* Issue approved drawings and technical documents to Production.* Maintain proper revision control and ensure that Production is always working with the latest approved drawings.* Document and track all design changes and technical revisions.* Coordinate with Sales to understand client requirements and project specifications.* Coordinate with the Design team to develop concepts into detailed production drawings.* Coordinate with Costing to ensure that the BOM, quantities, and technical specifications match the approved design.* Work closely with Production to resolve technical queries and manufacturing issues.* Review and respond to Technical Queries / RFIs in coordination with the relevant departments.* Follow up on client approvals for shop drawings when required.* Ensure that every production order is supported by complete and accurate technical documentation.* Support Production and Installation teams in resolving technical issues during manufacturing and installation.* Update drawings whenever changes are approved during the production process.* Maintain and organize technical files, drawings, approvals, and project documentation.* Establish and maintain a clear system for drawing control, revisions, approvals, and document management.* Monitor the team’s workload, deadlines, and overall performance.<br>Requirements<br>* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Production Engineering, or a related field.* Proven experience in a Technical Office within a furniture, woodwork, joinery, doors, or similar manufacturing company.* Strong experience in custom furniture and woodwork projects.* Solid experience in preparing and reviewing shop drawings and production drawings.* Strong command of Auto CAD.* Experience with 3D software such as Sketch Up, 3ds Max, Solid Works, or similar tools is a plus, depending on the type of production.* Good understanding of wood materials, hardware, accessories, finishes, and manufacturing methods.* Ability to prepare and review BOMs, cutting details, and assembly details.* Good understanding of production requirements and manufacturing processes.* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.* Good problem-solving and communication skills.* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.* Previous experience managing a technical team is a strong advantage.<br>What We’re Looking For<br>We are looking for a hands-on Technical Office Manager who understands how a design becomes a real product on the factory floor.<br>The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, technically strong, organized, and able to work closely with both the design and production teams to ensure smooth and accurate execution.
