<b>About Aventura</b><br>Aventura is a UAE-based travel agency focused on delivering exceptional travel experiences and high-quality services to individual, corporate, and hospitality clients.<br>We are looking for an experienced and highly organized <b>Accounting Manager</b> to join our Egypt-based team and provide comprehensive accounting and financial support to Aventura's UAE operations.<br>The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day accounting function, maintain accurate financial records, oversee receivables and payables, monitor cash flow, support financial reporting, and ensure effective financial controls across the business.<br><b>Key Responsibilities</b><br><b>1. Accounting & Financial Management</b><ul><li>Manage the day-to-day accounting operations for Aventura's UAE business.</li><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.</li><li>Oversee general ledger, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.</li><li>Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports.</li><li>Monitor revenue, expenses, profitability, and financial performance.</li><li>Ensure proper allocation and recording of revenues and costs by business line, client, supplier, and transaction where applicable.</li><li>Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation and supporting records.</li></ul><br><b>2. Accounts Receivable & Revenue Control</b><ul><li>Monitor customer accounts and outstanding receivables.</li><li>Follow up on overdue payments and coordinate with the Sales and Operations teams regarding collection.</li><li>Ensure invoices are issued accurately and on time.</li><li>Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies.</li><li>Monitor deposits, advance payments, refunds, credit notes, and adjustments.</li><li>Maintain proper controls over travel bookings and related financial transactions.</li></ul><br><b>3. Accounts Payable & Supplier Management</b><ul><li>Manage supplier invoices and payment processes.</li><li>Verify invoices against approved bookings, contracts, quotations, and supporting documentation.</li><li>Maintain accurate supplier statements and conduct regular reconciliations.</li><li>Monitor supplier payment schedules and outstanding balances.</li><li>Coordinate with Operations and Procurement to resolve invoice discrepancies.</li><li>Ensure payments are properly authorized and supported by the required documentation.</li></ul><br><b>4. Travel Industry Accounting</b><ul><li>Maintain accurate financial records relating to travel bookings, hotels, flights, transportation, excursions, tours, and other travel-related services.</li><li>Reconcile booking-related collections and supplier payments.</li><li>Monitor commissions, mark-ups, service fees, and other sources of travel-related revenue.</li><li>Review profitability of bookings and packages where required.</li><li>Work closely with the Operations and Sales teams to ensure financial transactions are accurately captured.</li><li>Monitor cancellations, amendments, refunds, and associated financial adjustments.</li></ul><br><b>5. UAE Financial & Tax Compliance</b><ul><li>Support the company in maintaining compliance with applicable UAE accounting, taxation, and financial requirements.</li><li>Assist with <b>VAT</b> accounting, reconciliations, documentation, and periodic VAT return preparation in coordination with the company's UAE tax advisors/accountants.</li><li>Maintain proper records required for audits, tax reviews, and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Ensure financial transactions are supported by appropriate documentation and approval.</li><li>Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other financial service providers when required.</li></ul><br><b>6. Cash Flow & Banking</b><ul><li>Monitor company cash flow and upcoming financial obligations.</li><li>Prepare cash-flow reports and payment forecasts.</li><li>Monitor bank accounts and perform regular bank reconciliations.</li><li>Coordinate payment requests and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained.</li><li>Assist management with cash-flow planning and working-capital management.</li><li>Identify potential cash-flow risks and communicate them to management in a timely manner.</li></ul><br><b>7. Financial Reporting & Management Support</b><ul><li>Prepare regular financial reports for management.</li><li>Provide analysis of revenue, costs, margins, receivables, payables, and cash flow.</li><li>Assist management in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.</li><li>Track actual performance against budgets and highlight significant variances.</li><li>Provide financial information and analysis to support business decisions.</li><li>Develop and maintain financial dashboards and KPIs where required.</li></ul><br><b>8. Internal Controls</b><ul><li>Establish and maintain effective accounting procedures and financial controls.</li><li>Ensure appropriate segregation of duties and approval processes.</li><li>Review transactions for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization.</li><li>Identify financial discrepancies, control weaknesses, or unusual transactions and escalate them appropriately.</li><li>Support the implementation and improvement of accounting systems and processes.</li></ul><br><b>9. <p><em><strong>This role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Please note that as this role supports U.S.-based clients, candidates must be available to work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone.</strong></em></p><br><p>Our client is a physician-owned healthcare group with nine entities, an acquisition most quarters, and a rebrand underway that turns one parent company into eight to ten specialty brands.</p><br><p>Executives built prototypes themselves during an AI programme, and the organization now needs those prototypes turned into shipped software.</p><br><p>The environment includes Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, HubSpot, QuickBooks Online across nine entities, an EMR, and an FP&A platform being implemented.</p><br>Role Overview<p>The <strong>Senior AI-Enabled Product / Project Manager</strong> will interview the M&A Director about diligence requirements and the Marketing Lead about the rebrand, then document those requirements precisely enough for an Engineer to work from without having to guess.</p><br><p>The role will own the cadence while the organization’s teams own the rules of the business. The Senior AI-Enabled Product / Project Manager will work with the M&A Director and CFO daily, the Marketing Lead weekly on the rebrand, and alongside the Engineer and Experience: one year s experience as a Reservations Agent, preferably a style hotel. Foreign Language: Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal. Courses and Training Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers. Computer Literacy Compute basic arithmetic. Skills Familiarity with yield management and forecasting. Ability to perform job functions with attention to details, speed and accuracy.
