<p><br></p><p>Cloud Security - Configuration Review, core responsibility overview: It involves examining the settings, configurations, and policies used in the IT environment, identifying potential security gaps and vulnerabilities, and recommending best practices to improve the security posture of the organization. The assets in scope can be (Network appliances, security appliances and popular operating systems such as Microsoft windows, Unix, and Linux), the reviewer is expected to look into configurations, setting as well as the man made rules such as firewall rules or access lists to check for any deviations.</p><p>Configuration review process:</p><ul><li>Validate the Scope: Confirm and validate the scope of the assessment, including the systems and devices to be reviewed, the types of configuration settings to be assessed, and any specific security policies and standards that apply.</li><li>Prepare the Assessment Criteria or checklist: Develop assessment criteria and checklist based on vendor best practices, industry standards and applicable client policies and procedures. The standards can include frameworks such as CIS Controls or NIST Cybersecurity Framework.</li><li>Conduct the Assessment: Conduct the assessment, reviewing the configurations of systems and devices against the assessment criteria. This can be done using automated tools, manual review, or a combination of both.</li><li>Identify Findings: Identify any findings or deviations from the assessment criteria. This can include misconfigurations, missing patches, or insecure settings.</li><li>Analyze Findings: Analyze the findings to determine their impact on the security posture of the organization. Senior HV Substation Engineer – Primary Design<br> Location: Egypt Company: Synergy STS Sector: Energy | Transmission & Distribution | Grid Infrastructure<br>Synergy STS is expanding its Grid & Energy Infrastructure engineering capability as part of our continued development of engineering delivery services for international energy and infrastructure assignments. We are looking for an experienced Senior HV Substation Engineer – Primary Design to join our growing engineering team.<br>Key Responsibilities Engineering and design of HV/EHV substations, including AIS and GIS installations. Development and review of Single Line Diagrams, substation layouts and equipment arrangements. Busbar configuration and technical selection of HV equipment. Preparation and review of technical specifications and datasheets for transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, disconnectors, CTs, VTs, surge arresters and associated equipment. Earthing and lightning protection design coordination. Cable sizing, cable schedules and interface coordination. Preparation and review of equipment layouts, sections and engineering drawings. Technical bid evaluation and vendor-document review. Coordination with protection, control, civil, structural and other engineering disciplines. Participation in design reviews and technical coordination with international project teams.<br>Candidate Profile B. Sc. in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in HV substations, transmission or utility projects. Strong practical experience with 132 k V and above is highly preferred. Experience with AIS and/or GIS substations. Experience working with engineering consultants, utilities, OEMs or major EPC contractors is highly valued. Familiarity with IEC standards and international engineering practices. Experience with Auto CAD is required; Revit/BIM experience is an advantage. Strong technical documentation and English communication skills.
