Role Description The Senior Civil Design Engineer will be responsible for leading and reviewing civil design packages for infrastructure and land development projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, codes, and client requirements. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and checking design calculations, drawings, technical reports, and design specifications, as well as coordinating with internal design teams and external stakeholders. The role involves overseeing roadway and stormwater design, providing technical guidance to junior engineers, and supporting value engineering and constructability reviews. The Senior Civil Design Engineer will also participate in design meetings, respond to RFIs, and support the tendering and construction phases with timely technical input. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. Qualifications Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary design tasks and review complex deliverables. Proficiency in Stormwater Management, including drainage system design, detention/retention solutions, and flood analysis. Experience in Land Development, covering site grading, utilities layout, earthwork, and infrastructure planning for urban and industrial projects. Advanced skills in Roadway Design, including alignment, profiles, cross-sections, and pavement design in accordance with applicable codes and standards. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and registration or eligibility for professional engineering licensure. Proficiency with relevant design and CAD software (e.g., Auto CAD, Civil 3D or similar civil design tools), and strong MS Office skills. Proven experience (typically 4+ years) in civil infrastructure design, preferably with exposure to large-scale or complex projects. Effective communication, team leadership, and coordination skills, with the ability to mentor junior staff and collaborate with site and project management teams. Strong problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, and commitment to quality, safety, and timely delivery.
