Strategic Finance Manager — The Flex<br><br>The Flex is creating the future of flexible accommodation.<br><br>We operate and manage properties across multiple cities and countries, bringing together hospitality, technology and operational excellence to make renting a home as effortless as booking a hotel.<br><br>As our international footprint expands, we are searching for an outstanding Strategic Finance Manager to help build the financial systems, controls and insights required to support a rapidly growing global business.<br><br>This is far more than a conventional accounting position. You will work closely with our founders and leadership team, take ownership of essential financial processes, evaluate business performance and provide the insights that enable better decisions as we scale.<br><br>Your Mission<br><br>As Strategic Finance Manager, you will play a central role in The Flex’s financial operations.<br><br>Your objective will be to give the business complete clarity over where its revenue comes from, how its money is spent, how each area is performing and where profitability can be improved.<br><br>Your responsibilities will span accounting, financial analysis, management reporting, payment reconciliation, budgeting and business performance.<br><br>You will have exposure to the entire organisation, collaborating directly with operations, revenue management, property teams and senior leadership.<br><br>For an ambitious individual, this position offers a clear path toward becoming Head of Finance or, ultimately, moving into a CFO-track role as The Flex continues to grow.<br><br>What You Will Own<br><br>Lead and continuously strengthen our day-to-day financial controls and reporting, ensuring that every number shared with management is accurate, validated, complete and supported by reliable evidence. Identify repetitive and manual finance tasks, create more efficient processes and collaborate with our engineering teams to automate them. Reconcile payments from Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, direct reservations and other distribution partners, confirming that every expected payment is received correctly and on schedule. Reconcile bank accounts and incoming transactions, ensuring that funds are properly received and recorded while investigating and resolving discrepancies quickly. Monitor and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. Review supplier invoices and expenses incurred across the company. Oversee statutory filings and corporate compliance requirements across several jurisdictions, making sure that all submissions are correct and completed within the required deadlines. Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisers, auditors and banking partners to maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely compliance. Assist with financial statements for landlords and property owners whenever required. Develop dashboards and reporting tools that provide management with real-time visibility into company performance. Evaluate financial results across individual properties, cities, countries and business units. Create and maintain company budgets, forecasts and financial models. Track cash flow and support management in planning future funding and capital needs. Detect financial risks, discrepancies and potential sources of revenue leakage. Review the company’s cost base and uncover opportunities to strengthen margins. Partner with operational teams to understand, control and reduce costs at property level. Contribute to financial due diligence for acquisitions, investments and expansion into new markets. The cluster spans large-scale manufacturing in Egypt and commercial distribution across the NEA footprint. The FP&A Manager operates within the following market conditions:FX Volatility & Inflation: Egypt's FX volatility and inflation require forecasts to embed FX sensitivity and current-reality costs, not static benchmarks. Pricing Sensitivity & Traditional Trade: Egypt's price-sensitive market and fragmented trade base demand strong grasp of price-volume and channel mix dynamics. Annual Budget – NEA• Lead the annual budgeting process for the NEA cluster, coordinating inputs from commercial, supply chain, manufacturing, and operations teams across all NEA markets. • Challenge assumptions rigorously to ensure the budget reflects realistic volume, cost, margin, and cash flow projections under Egypt’s FX and inflationary conditions. • Prepare the full NEA cluster budget pack including P&L, working capital, cash flow, and capital expenditure, aligned to ACCBC enterprise budget guidelines. • Present the NEA budget for review and approval, managing revision cycles through to final submission.<br>B. Rolling Forecast & Latest Estimate (LE) Manage NEA's monthly LE cycle, consolidating cross-functional inputs into a credible forward-looking P&L and cash view. Ensure LE reflects current trading reality, updated FX/inflation assumptions, and material risks or opportunities. C. P&L Variance Analysis & Reporting• Own the monthly NEA cluster P&L review, preparing structured variance analysis vs. budget, LE, and prior year, identifying drivers of deviation across revenue, gross margin, manufacturing cost, and opex. Provide the management with actionable commentary, financial fact-base, and analysis to support monthly performance review meetings with NEA leadership. Track corrective action plans arising from performance reviews and provide update on progress.<br>D. Scenario Analysis & Downside Planning• Develop and quantify downside, stress, and liquidity scenarios for NEA (FX, inflation, volume, raw material, and supply risks) to support the Finance Director's decision-making and mitigation planning.• Continuously update scenario models to keep the Finance Director's financial sensitivity visibility current across all NEA markets.<br>E. Cash Flow Forecasting & Working Capital Management Own the NEA cluster cash flow forecast for the Finance Director and Treasury. Track DSO, DPO, and inventory days across commercial and manufacturing operations, flagging deviations and corrective actions. Deliver a working capital dashboard and feed FX/funding needs to Treasury proactively.<br>F. Commercial & Operational Decision Support• Provide financial analysis and business case support for commercial and operational decisions including pricing, investment, cost reduction, and supply chain trade-offs. • Evaluate the financial impact of proposed initiatives or changes, incorporating NEA country-specific FX and inflation sensitivities, and present clear recommendations to the Finance Director. • Support NEA country and cluster leadership with financial insights and data required for business reviews, governance forums, and stakeholder presentations.<br>G. Reporting & Management Information• Prepare and distribute the NEA cluster monthly management reporting pack, covering P&L, cash, working capital, and KPI performance. • Ensure all FP&A reporting is accurate, structured, and submitted within ACCBC corporate reporting deadlines. • Maintain and continuously improve FP&A reporting templates, models, and dashboards to enhance insight quality and reduce manual effort. • Support the D365 ERP implementation by embedding FP&A processes into the new system.<br>H. A new four-year phase of DEDI started in 2025 financed under the Danish Arab Partnership Programme (DAPP). The new phase is designed to address the challenges and opportunities of climate change, circular economy, green transition and Innovation in Sustainable Design. DEDI implement activities on the following three components: i) Innovation in sustainable design by youth; ii) Green environmental literacy for youth; and iii) Youth dialogue on climate and security. DEDI is hosted by UNDP in Egypt with a range of Danish and Egyptian organizations and experts engaged to lead DEDI’s dialogue and exchange activities in Egypt and Denmark. </span></p><br> <p><span>As the host institution and implementing agency for DEDI, UNDP Egypt implements the initiative, ensuring alignment with broader development priorities and providing technical, operational and administrative support. Under the new phase of DEDI (2025-2028), UNDP is responsible for grant management, partnership development, financial oversight, and technical guidance across all three components. UNDP’s involvement ensures that DEDI benefits from its extensive expertise in sustainable development, youth engagement, and climate action, as well as its established networks with governmental and non-governmental stakeholders.
