Job description:About us Magico Group has manufactured industrial and agrochemical products in Egypt since 1992, ISO 9001 certified, with our free zone facility on the Cairo–Alexandria desert road minutes from Alexandria port. We supply Egyptian industrial minerals — calcium carbonate, silica sand, kaolin, feldspar, talc — and a range of agricultural and industrial chemicals into Europe, the Gulf, Africa and the domestic market. We are building our export desk. The commercial opportunity is real; what we need is someone to go and find it, market by market and buyer by buyer. The role This is the front end of export sales — the work that happens before a quotation exists. You will find the markets, find the companies inside them, find the people inside those companies, and open the conversation. You will work directly alongside our Business Development Engineer and report to the Export & Freezone Director. This is a builder's role, not an account-maintenance role. If you like inheriting a customer list, this is not it. What you will actually do Map markets before we enter them. Which countries buy what we make, at what volume, against which competing origin — Turkey, China, Vietnam, Spain. Turn that into a ranked target list, not a report nobody reads. Build the database. Company by company: who they are, what they process, which of our grades fits their line, who signs for raw materials, how to reach them. Thousands of records, kept clean and current. This becomes the commercial asset the whole desk runs on. Source deals opportunistically. Enquiries, tenders, distributor approaches, buying groups, trade platforms. Some of the best business arrives sideways — your job is to notice it and chase it down. Run outreach campaigns. Sequenced email and Linked In outreach at volume, in a professional technical register, tracked properly. Handle the replies and qualify them. Qualify technically. Read a customer's specification, match it to the right grade, and know when we genuinely fit and when we do not. Wasting a plant's time costs more than the order is worth. Grow the network. Distributors, agents, trading houses, industry associations, trade fairs. Relationships compound; start compounding them. What we are looking for Engineering, chemistry, materials science, or a technical degree — you will be selling on specifications, so you need to be comfortable with them4+ years in B2B business development, export sales, technical sales or market research. Strong recent graduates with real evidence of initiative will be read seriously Genuinely strong written English; a second language relevant to our markets (German, Italian, Spanish, French, Polish) is a real advantage Fluent with prospecting tools and data — Linked In Sales Navigator, Lusha or Apollo, CRM, and Excel used properly rather than as a list Self-directed. Much of this is unsupervised desk work, and the output is visible in the pipeline or it is not there at all Comfortable with AI tools for research, enrichment and drafting — we use them heavily and expect you to Bonus points Background in industrial minerals, ceramics, glass, plastics compounding, paints, paper, fertilizers or construction chemicals Experience with export documentation, Incoterms, letters of credit, or customs procedure Any exposure to EU regulatory frameworks — REACH, EU 2019/1009, food-contact What we offer Competitive base salary plus commission on collected margin — you earn on cash in the bank, not on orders booked Direct exposure to export markets and senior decision-makers from day one A genuine build: you shape how this desk operates rather than inheriting a process Working week Saturday–Thursday, core hours 9:00–16:00, desk-based from Egypt with periodic reviews at the Alexandria Free Zone office To apply Send your CV to hr@magicogroup.com with the subject line BD Engineer — Export. In three or four sentences, tell us: pick one country and one of our product lines, and say how you would find its ten largest buyers. We read that before the CV. Application Question(s):pick one country and one of our product lines, and say how you would find its ten largest buyers. Work Location: In person
