<p>We are seeking a senior DevOps engineer to support global IT integration, platform operations, and cloud deployment activities. The role focuses on building, maintaining, and enhancing production-ready platforms that host applications across multiple Vodafone markets, with a strong emphasis on Kubernetes, containerisation, cloud technologies, service reliability, and application lifecycle management. <h4>Who you are</h4>
<h4>Essential qualifications, knowledge and experience</h4>
<ul>
<li>Minimum 5 years of software development experience, including development of microservices using Python and Flask and/or Django.</li>
<li>Minimum 3 years of experience working with network technologies, including exposure to software defined networking (SDN).</li>
<li>Strong understanding of SDN-related technologies and protocols, including REST APIs, RESTCONF, NETCONF and YANG data models.</li>
<li>Experience in API automation testing and automated testing frameworks such as pytest, unittest or equivalent approaches.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, including object-oriented programming, code quality, linting and technical documentation.</li>
<li>Experience working within agile delivery methodologies.</li>
<li>Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.</li>
<li>Professional IP networking certification such as CCIE or an equivalent qualification.</li>

<li>Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.</li>

<h4>Role purpose:</h4>
<p>We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Planning Engineer to join our PDS team in Egypt. This role will be responsible for the project controls of running contracts of a mixed-used development. The Project Controls Manager will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team and play a key role in driving successful project delivery.</p>
<h4>Key responsibilities:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Maintain schedule baselines and implement performance monitoring mechanisms.</li>
<li>Lead the Project Controls team to collaborate with the Project Manager, supervision consultants, and main contractors to review progress reports.</li>
<li>Monitor on-site progress and verify contractor-submitted reports.</li>
<li>Lead the Project Controls team in schedule-related meetings and associated processes.</li>
<li>Review project status with Project Management team and recommend corrective actions.</li>
<li>Ensure integration of sub-schedules from all project parties.</li>
<li>Review and comment on contractor-submitted EOT (Extension of Time) claims.</li>
<li>Analyze time impact of scope changes or variations requested by client or contractor.</li>
<li>Track and report progress against baseline schedule, monitor risks and opportunities, and develop mitigation scenarios.</li>
<li>Report on schedule progress using metrics like EV (Earned Value) and PV (Planned Value).</li>
<li>Prepare periodic progress reports and attend progress meetings.</li>
<li>Draft progress-related correspondence.</li>
<li>Produce schedule-related KPIs as required by the project.</li>
<li>Manage effective communication of cost and schedule responsibilities to all project functions.</li>
</ul>
<h4>Previous experience may include, but not be limited to:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.</li>
<li>+5 years of relevant experience in project planning and scheduling.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Primavera P6 software.</li>
<li>PMC (Project Management Consultancy) experience is highly advantageous.</li>
</ul>
