This role is responsible for assisting lab visitors, maintaining the lab, and operating the machines. The Executive Innovation Hub Engineer is additionally tasked with planning the lab’s future activities, selecting machines for purchase, and liaising with companies and industry partners who require the lab’s services. Their responsibilities also include preparing prototypes, designing models, and creating PCBs. The Executive Innovation Hub Engineer maintains communication with suppliers and coordinates with internal university departments such as procurement and finance.
- Follow up with Junior (JR) Engineers on their assigned tasks.
- Assist visitors and provide support for their needs and problem-solving requirements.
- Support startups, companies, and industry partners with their manufacturing and prototyping requests.
- Negotiate deals and contracts with visitors and companies that engage with the lab as a service provider.
- Plan the lab’s future activities and events.
- Select machines for purchase and identify required tools.
- Plan projects and schedule tasks accordingly.
- Participate in research topics and lead interns in developing these topics and providing guidance.
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Communication, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.Programming languages such as Python, C, or C++.Familiarity with PCB design and fabrication knowledge.General Machine Experience.5 - 7 years of experience.
