Key Responsibilities:
Risk Identification and Assessment:
- Lead the identification of key risks to the business, including operational, financial, regulatory, and reputational risks.
- Conduct risk assessments and evaluations for new and existing projects, investments, and business operations.
- Analyze risk data, identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, and determine their impact on the organization.
Risk Mitigation and Management:
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to reduce the probability or impact of identified risks.
- Collaborate with department heads and senior management to create risk mitigation plans for various business units.
- Monitor the effectiveness of risk controls and adjust strategies as needed.
Risk Reporting:
- Prepare and present regular risk reports to senior management, outlining key risk factors, their potential impact, and proposed mitigation strategies.
- Track and monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and provide ongoing updates on risk status.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on risk analysis to assist in decision-making.
Risk Strategy Development:
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework, ensuring it is aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and emerging risks that may impact the company.
- Continuously review and improve the organization's risk management processes, ensuring they align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
Compliance and Regulatory Management:
- Ensure the company’s risk management practices are in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure the organization adheres to all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Prepare for and assist in internal and external audits related to risk management and compliance.
Risk Modeling and Analysis:
- Develop and utilize quantitative and qualitative models to assess risk exposure and forecast potential risk scenarios.
- Use risk management software and tools to conduct advanced risk analysis and simulations.
- Implement data-driven approaches to evaluate risk probability, impact, and potential consequences.
Business Continuity and Crisis Management:
- Support business continuity planning by assessing potential risks that could disrupt operations.
- Work with leadership teams to develop crisis management strategies and ensure the company is prepared to handle unforeseen events.
Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. A master’s degree or MBA is a must.Professional certifications such as FRM (Financial Risk Manager), PRM (Professional Risk Manager), CIA(Certified Internal Auditor) CRM (Certified Risk Manager) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) are highly preferred.Proven experience (7+ years) in risk management or a related field.Strong understanding of risk management principles, tools, and frameworks.Experience in quantitative analysis, risk modeling, and data-driven decision-making.Proficient in risk management software, Microsoft Excel, and data analysis tools.Skills and Competencies:Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex risk information clearly to senior leadership.High attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance issues.Ability to build relationships across departments and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
