<p>We are looking for a dedicated Environment and Pest Control Specialist to implement and oversee our environmental management, waste management, and pest control programs. The ideal candidate must ensure a safe and healthy work environment, minimize environmental impact, and maintain full compliance with environmental regulations, ISO 14001 standards, and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements to ensure constant audit readiness.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><p><strong>Pest Control Management:</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee and implement on-site pest control programs (insects and rodents) in coordination with approved service providers.</li><li>Review pest control method statements and risk assessments, ensuring the use of approved and safe chemicals.</li><li>Conduct routine site inspections to identify and eliminate pest activity.</li></ul><p><strong>Waste Management and Safe Disposal:</strong></p><ul><li>Organize waste sorting, collection, and storage processes in accordance with environmental standards.</li><li>Coordinate with approved waste transportation and disposal vendors and follow up on safe disposal certificates.</li><li>Ensure full compliance with Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA) requirements and regulations.</li></ul><p><strong>Inspections and Corrective Actions:</strong></p><ul><li>Conduct regular field inspections in storage areas, facilities, and general buildings.</li><li>Report non-conformities and environmental hazards, and collaborate with the OHS team to implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) in a timely manner.</li></ul><p><strong>Environmental Compliance and ISO 14001:</strong></p><ul><li>Track and enforce applicable local environmental laws and support the timely renewal of environmental permits.</li><li>Identify and evaluate environmental aspects and impacts; monitor environmental measurements (air, noise, emissions).</li><li>Support internal and external ISO 14001 audits and regulatory inspections.</li></ul><p><strong>Documentation and Awareness:</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain up-to-date logs and records for pest control, hazardous/non-hazardous waste, and environmental compliance.</li><li>Conduct awareness sessions for employees on hygiene, pest prevention, and eco-friendly practices in the workplace.</li></ul><h3>Job Requirements and Qualifications</h3><p><strong>Education:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Science, Public Health, or a related field.</li></ul><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in Environmental Management, Pest Control, Waste Management, or Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE).</li></ul><p><strong>Skills and Knowledge:</strong></p><ul><li>Strong knowledge of local environmental laws, regulations, and occupational health and safety principles.</li><li>Strong field inspection capabilities.</li><li>Excellent reporting, documentation, and record-keeping skills.</li><li>Good problem-solving and communication skills.</li></ul><h3>Preferred Training and Certifications</h3><p><strong>Required / Highly Preferred:</strong></p><ul><li>Training courses in: Environmental Management, Pest Control, Occupational Health and Safety, or Safe Waste Disposal.</li><li>ISO 14001 Awareness / Internal Auditor.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional (Optional):</strong></p><ul><li>ISO 14001 Lead Auditor.</li><li>Certified Occupational Health and Safety Specialist/Committee Member (National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health).</li><li>OSHA 30-Hour Certification (General Industry).</li><li>ISO 45001 Awareness.</li></ul>
