Supervise all sheet metal fabrication processes, including: (Laser, Forming, Welding, Electrostatic Painting, Assembly) Monitor production quality, ensure compliance with engineering drawings & customer specifications. Troubleshoot production and process issues to minimize downtime. Coordinate with Technical Office, Quality, Maintenance, Procurement, and Stores to ensure smooth production flow. Analyze production KPIs and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Implement Lean Manufacturing & continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste. Optimize material utilization through proper nesting and production planning. Ensure safe operation of production equipment, including press brakes, welding stations, and fabrication machinery.<br>Qualifications:<br>Bachelor’s degree in production engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing. Experience in sheet metal manufacturing is essential. Experience in manufacturing Fire Hose Cabinets, Fire-Rated Steel Doors or similar fire protection products is a strong advantage.<br>Technical Requirements:<br>Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Good understanding of GD&T, dimensional tolerances, and quality standards. Knowledge of nesting optimization and material waste reduction techniques. Experience with ERP and/or MES systems. Experience in project coordination, including planning, scheduling, risk assessment, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex technical challenges under time constraints. Job Purpose To provide advanced technical expertise and engineering support throughout the project execution lifecycle by coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities, resolving complex technical issues, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, contractual requirements, quality standards, project schedule, and budget. The role supports the Project Manager in delivering engineering projects efficiently while serving as the primary technical reference throughout project execution. Key Responsibilities1. Engineering Project Execution Coordinate technical aspects of project execution from mobilization through project handover. Ensure engineering activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and contractual requirements. Review engineering execution methodologies and recommend the most effective implementation approach. Identify technical risks and develop practical engineering solutions. Support the Project Manager in achieving project milestones and technical objectives. 2. Engineering Coordination Coordinate with the Technical Office regarding shop drawings, RFIs, technical clarifications, material submittals, and engineering deliverables. Coordinate engineering interfaces between different disciplines to ensure seamless project execution. Ensure engineering documents are properly implemented during execution. Participate in technical meetings with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Support coordination between engineering, procurement, QA/QC, planning, and site teams. 3. Material & Procurement Technical Support Review technical specifications of materials and equipment. Support technical evaluation of suppliers and vendors. Verify technical compliance of material submittals. Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely availability of technically approved materials and equipment. Review technical substitutions and recommend suitable alternatives when required. 6. Testing, Commissioning & Project Handover Coordinate technical preparation for Testing & Commissioning activities. Review testing procedures and commissioning documentation. Support troubleshooting during Testing & Commissioning. Verify technical readiness prior to system start up. Support project handover activities, including review of As-Built Drawings, Operation & Maintenance Manuals, warranties, and technical close-out documentation. 7. Documentation & Reporting Review technical reports and engineering documentation. Ensure technical records remain complete and up to date throughout the project lifecycle. Support preparation of technical progress reports. Maintain proper documentation of engineering decisions, approvals, and technical correspondence.
