<b>OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME</b><br>The Eastern and Mediterranean Regional Office (EMRO) of World Health Organization aims to enhance financial and quality assurance and stewardship of all resources. The Accountability and Assurance Framework requires an effective internal control structure to ensure the accomplishment of established objectives and goals for operations; the economical and efficient use of resources; the reliability and integrity of information; compliance with policies, plans, procedures, rules, and regulations; and the safeguarding of assets.Financial Management and Assurance (earlier known as Budget and Finance Services), as part of the Departmentof Business Operations (BOS), is entrusted with ensuring full compliancewith WHO's financial regulations and rules, policies and procedures and maintaining strong internal controls to effectively discharge WHO'saccountability obligations to Member States and donors. The remuneration for the above position comprises an annual base salary starting at USD 71,335 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable), a variable post adjustment, which reflects the cost of living in a particular duty station, and currently amounts to USD 1492 per month for the duty station indicated above.
