<p>Reporting to the Manager IT Projects and Applications, the Senior IT Application Project Lead is responsible for leading the delivery of complex IT systems across the high-speed railway organization in Egypt, from requirements definition through to stable go live. This is a project focused role centered on getting the right systems built, tested, and handed over successfully. You are successful when projects are delivered on time and within scope, stakeholders are aligned throughout, and the systems that go live are stable, well documented, and genuinely fit for purpose. For the right person, the experience and relationships built in this role create a natural foundation for taking on broader application ownership as the organization matures.</p><br><br>

<p><strong>Your responsibilities:</strong></p><br><br><ul><li>Lead end-to-end delivery of complex IT projects including planning, scoping, risk assessment, dependency management, and stakeholder alignment across business and technology teams.</li><li>Translate business requirements into structured delivery plans, working closely with business stakeholders to define acceptance criteria, manage scope, and ensure traceability throughout the project lifecycle.</li><li>Own the change and release framework for project deliveries, ensuring all system changes are introduced in a controlled, compliant, and low-disruption manner.</li><li>Orchestrate releases end-to-end including impact assessment, deployment runbooks, rollback planning, cutover coordination, and post-release reviews.</li><li>Direct functional testing and UAT processes, overseeing test strategy, defect triage, readiness sign-off, and user communication and training coordination.</li><li>Manage environment and configuration integrity across development, test, and production, ensuring non-production environments are fit for purpose throughout the project lifecycle.</li><li>Coordinate multi-vendor deliveries, keeping external partners accountable to agreed timelines, quality standards, and contractual obligations.</li><li>Identify, escalate, and manage project risks and issues, maintaining clear and current documentation that gives stakeholders an accurate picture at all times.</li><li>Lead project governance including steering committee reporting, decision logs, and lessons learned, ensuring each delivery closes cleanly and feeds into continuous improvement.</li><li>Manage the stabilization and hypercare period following go-live, ensuring delivered systems are fully transitioned and receiving teams are prepared to take ownership. </li></ul>

<p><strong>Your qualifications:</strong></p><br><br><ul><li>Formal education in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is welcome but what matters most is a strong track record of delivering complex IT projects.</li><li>6–8 years of experience in IT project delivery, change and release management, or delivery coordination in an enterprise environment.</li><li>Proven ability to lead multi-vendor, multi-workstream projects with complex dependencies and high stakeholder visibility.</li><li>Practical knowledge of ITIL change management, release planning, and deployment practices including rollback and hypercare.</li><li>Hands-on experience with requirements management, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional testing coordination.</li><li>Experience delivering enterprise applications such as ERP, CMMS, HRIS, or similar SaaS and cloud-hosted systems.</li><li>Structured and rigorous, with meticulous planning habits and a strong instinct for protecting production stability.</li><li>A calm and decisive operator, comfortable running governance forums, managing competing priorities, and making clear calls under pressure.</li><li>Relevant certifications are a plus, particularly PMP, PRINCE2, or ITIL 4 Foundation.</li><li>Arabic required; strong professional English essential. Comfortable working on site and during off-hours cutovers.</li></ul>
