Key Responsibilities Ticketing & Reservations:Issue, reissue, reroute, and cancel domestic and international airline tickets across all major carriers. Apply complex fare rules, taxes, and exchange calculations accurately to maximize client value and agency profitability. Handle group bookings, seat assignments, meal requests, and special service requests (SSRs). Manage ticket exchanges, refunds, and involuntary reissues due to schedule changes, cancellations, or irregular operations (IROPS). Customer Service & Consultation:Serve as the primary ticketing expert for walk-in and corporate clients, providing professional advice on the best routes, fare options, and travel policies. Handle complex client inquiries and resolve ticketing-related issues and disputes efficiently. Maintain strong relationships with airline representatives to stay updated on promotions, contract fares, and policy changes. System & Administrative Management:Utilize advanced GDS platforms (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo) to manage daily ticketing operations with speed and accuracy. Ensure compliance with IATA regulations and internal quality standards. Maintain accurate records of all transactions, payments, and documentation. Prepare daily sales reports, reconciliation reports, and revenue tracking for management review. Training & Support:Assist in training and mentoring junior ticketing agents on GDS usage, fare construction, and customer service best practices. Support the team by troubleshooting difficult ticketing scenarios and providing technical guidance. Requirements & Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience as an Airline Ticketing Agent, with at least 3 years working in a travel agency or GSA environment. GDS Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in Amadeus is mandatory (Sabre or Galileo may be considered, but Amadeus is highly preferred). Education: Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Business, or a related field is preferred. IATA/UFTAA certification is a strong plus. Knowledge: Deep understanding of international airline fare structures, ticketing timelines, refund policies, and IATA/BSP regulations. Skills:Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy. Strong communication and negotiation skills in both Arabic and English. Ability to work under pressure and handle high-volume transactions during peak seasons.
