The role will manage key customer relationships, lead a sales team, develop channel partners and distributors, and collaborate with technical, supply chain, and product teams to deliver customer-focused solutions and achieve revenue targets.</p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p>Sales Strategy &amp; Planning</p><ul><li><p>Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for HDPE pipes aligned with company objectives and market demand.</p></li><li><p>Define annual sales targets, territory plans, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to achieve revenue and margin goals.</p></li><li><p>Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities and risks.</p></li></ul><p>Business Development &amp; Key Accounts</p><ul><li><p>Identify, prospect, and win new customers across sectors such as municipal water, irrigation, industrial, oil &amp; gas, and construction.</p></li><li><p>Manage and grow strategic key accounts through regular engagement, commercial negotiations, and value-added proposals.</p></li><li><p>Develop and maintain long-term relationships with consultants, contractors, distributors, and government procurement bodies.</p></li></ul><p>Technical &amp; Commercial Support</p><ul><li><p>Work closely with Technical and Product teams to develop tailored HDPE pipe solutions, specifications, and value propositions for customers.</p></li><li><p>Support tender responses, product demonstrations, technical clarifications, and site visits as required.</p></li><li><p>Provide commercial guidance on pricing, payment terms, contracts, and warranty conditions to protect company interests while meeting customer needs.</p></li></ul><p>Marketing &amp; Market Development</p><ul><li><p>Collaborate with Marketing to develop product collateral, case studies, technical datasheets, and promotional campaigns targeted at key segments.</p></li><li><p>Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer forums to promote HDPE pipe solutions and collect market intelligence.</p></li><li><p>Drive specification inclusion with consultants and engineers through technical seminars, training sessions, and joint site activities.</p></li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline. <p>Pipefitter Lead • RPHONE_NUMBER • On Site • Alexandria, Egypt • Full time • No Clearance Add to favorites View favorites Amentum is actively seeking a Pipefitter Lead for International Fleet Support under the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) PMS 326 Follow-On Technical Support (FOTS) contract. The work location will be at the Egyptian Naval Base in the port of Alexandria, Egypt. This position includes a competitive benefits package. Essential responsibilities and daily duties include:</p><ul><li>Lead the installation, repair, and maintenance of piping systems aboard naval surface ships, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and standards.</li><li>Supervise pipefitting teams, delegating tasks, conducting quality checks, and training junior staff in proper installation techniques and safety procedures.</li><li>Perform inspections and tests (hydrostatic, pneumatic) to ensure the integrity and performance of all piping systems, identifying and repairing any faults.</li><li>Work with project managers and engineers to plan pipefitting work, including materials procurement, manpower allocation, and scheduling to meet project deadlines.</li><li>Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and that proper lockout/tagout procedures, confined space entry protocols, and welding safety standards are followed.</li><li>Provide detailed and technically accurate written condition and open and inspection reports. Use technical publications to identify and order required repair parts.</li><li>Participate as a member of the Amentum Ship Repair Team (SRT) in close coordination with the Industrial Manager.</li><li>Provide timely and comprehensive inputs for the Monthly Status Report.</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED.</li><li>5 years of experience as a pipefitter, with a strong background in naval shipboard systems.</li><li>Completion of a formal pipefitting apprenticeship program or vocational training in welding, plumbing, or pipefitting.</li><li>Proven leadership experience as a supervisor or lead pipefitter managing teams of pipefitters and welders in shipyards, aboard naval vessels, or in industrial settings.</li><li>Working experience with high-pressure piping systems, fuel systems, water systems, and hydraulic lines aboard naval ships.</li><li>Working knowledge of environmental regulations related to wastewater systems, ballast water treatment, and fuel transfer aboard ships.</li><li>Working experience with rigging and hoisting techniques for positioning and installing large pipe sections or assemblies in confined shipboard environments.</li><li>Working experience in hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing, and leak detection methods to verify the integrity of newly installed or repaired piping systems.</li><li>Ability to use inspection tools such as pressure gauges, borescopes, and ultrasonic testing equipment to assess pipe condition.</li><li>Working expertise in welding and brazing techniques for pipefitting, particularly TIG, MIG, and stick welding as applied to naval and marine piping systems.</li><li>Proficiency in cutting, threading, bending, and assembling various types of pipe materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, copper-nickel, and PVC.</li><li>Ability to install piping systems with precision, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and support in accordance with NAVSEA and other relevant marine standards.</li><li>Proficiency with hand tools, precision measurement tools, and equipment to perform repairs and have a thorough knowledge of standard shipyard practices.</li><li>Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to interpret vessel blueprints and ship drawings in addition to research ships systems manuals to identify problems as they arise.</li><li>Ability to work independently and in a team environment.</li><li>Ability to maintain a strong working relationship with EN counterparts in a dynamic work environment.</li><li>Ability to obtain a Country Clearance and Base Pass authorization. Note: US citizenship is required.</li><li>Ability to possess a current passport at least two years before expiration after arrival in Egypt.</li><li>Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS.</li><li>Prior ship maintenance experience or working knowledge of expectations and safety protocols related to a shipyard environment.</li><li>Experience working in an Arab country for long periods.</li></ul>
