A product can be technically complete and still leave users confused, frustrated, or uncertain about what to do next.
Our client is looking for an experienced UX/UI Designer who can look beyond visual polish and assess how well a complex digital product actually works for its users.
This is an opportunity to influence a product at a critical stage, identifying usability gaps, strengthening key journeys, and turning UX observations into practical improvements that can directly inform development and product acceptance.
Why This Opportunity Matters Our client needs an independent UX perspective on the existing system before wider product acceptance.
Your role will be to examine the product objectively, uncover friction and inconsistencies, and identify areas where the experience can be clearer, more intuitive, and more trustworthy.
This is not a full redesign assignment .
Instead, you'll act as an independent UX audit layer, providing evidence-based findings and actionable recommendations that the product and development teams can use immediately.
Your work will help distinguish between features that simply function technically and experiences that genuinely work for the people using them.
About Our Client Our client is currently evaluating and refining their system and is focused on ensuring that the product delivers a clear, consistent, and effective experience across its key user and administrative workflows.
The role offers the opportunity to work directly with an existing digital product, identify meaningful usability opportunities, and contribute to decisions that can shape the product before broader acceptance.
What's In It For You This is an opportunity to work on a real, existing digital product where your analysis can directly influence product quality and development priorities .
Rather than designing in isolation, you'll have the opportunity to: Influence important product and usability decisions Identify issues before they reach wider users Work across both end-user and administrative experiences Collaborate with product and development stakeholders Turn UX analysis into tangible development actions Make a measurable contribution to product clarity, usability, and user trust If you're a UX/UI professional who enjoys finding the problems others overlook , challenging assumptions, and translating user experience issues into practical solutions, this could be an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
If you're ready to look beyond how a product looks and evaluate how well it actually works, we'd like to see your portfolio and hear from you.
You'll conduct a comprehensive UX/UI review of the product's most important journeys, including: User-facing experiences: onboarding, account and profile management, CV/resume handling, Job Vector setup, job discovery, matching and scoring, applications, wallet and service flows, and notifications.
Admin experiences: navigation, task and application management, status visibility, proof and evidence handling, configuration, and overall operational usability.
System-wide UX: information hierarchy, navigation, terminology, labels, forms, controls, feedback messages, interaction patterns, and consistency across screens and workflows.
Critical states: empty, loading, error, success, confirmation, blocked/restricted, validation, and other states that can significantly affect user understanding and confidence.
Responsive and mobile experiences: where relevant, including layout, navigation, readability, forms, interactions, and critical workflows on smaller screens.
Most importantly, you'll turn your observations into clear, actionable findings .
For each significant issue, you'll identify where it occurs, explain what the user experiences today, clarify why it creates a problem, describe what should happen instead, and assign an appropriate priority.
What You'll Deliver Your review will result in a practical UX assessment that the product and development teams can act on.
Key deliverables include: A flow-by-flow UX/UI review of the primary user and administrative journeys A prioritized issue list categorized as Critical, Important, or Nice to Improve Annotated screenshots or visual examples clearly demonstrating identified issues Practical recommendations explaining what should change and why A concise summary of the highest-risk usability issues affecting user trust, task completion, clarity, and overall experience References to the relevant feature, milestone, or development task wherever possible The quality of the review will be measured by its usefulness, not by the number of observations.
We don't need someone who simply says "this could be improved.
" We need someone who can clearly connect: Screen/Flow → Current Experience → Problem → User Impact → Recommended Experience → Priority What Makes You Successful You'll thrive in this role if you: Have proven experience in UX/UI Design, Product Design, or UX Auditing Have a strong understanding of user-centered design and usability principles Know how to evaluate existing digital products rather than focusing only on creating new designs Can analyze complex, multi-step workflows from both the user's and the operational team's perspective Understand information architecture, interaction design, navigation, forms, and system feedback Can identify usability problems that may not be immediately visible through visual review alone Have experience creating annotated screenshots, UX audit reports, or similar documentation Are proficient with Figma and relevant UX/UI tools Have strong attention to detail and can identify inconsistencies across multiple product areas Can communicate UX issues and recommendations clearly to product and development stakeholders Experience with SaaS platforms, marketplaces, recruitment platforms, or other workflow-heavy digital products will be particularly valuable.
Experience working with development teams, external vendors, product-management tools such as ClickUp, and responsive/mobile UX is also beneficial.

You therefore build and test solutions in our own Microsoft 365 tenant using synthetic content, then deliver deployable packages, provisioning artefacts, and runbooks that the client's maintainer can execute.

The role requires greater autonomy than a standard Share Point implementation role. You are the only Share Point specialist in the engagement and are expected to make sound technical decisions, challenge unnecessary customization, troubleshooting without production access, and ensure that what is handed over can be successfully deployed and maintained by a non-technical client.

What will you do?

Take end-to-end ownership of the Share Point pilot, covering the following areas:

PILOT DELIVERY

Build and deliver a modern Share Point communication site homepage in collaboration with our Graphic Designer Implement page layouts, navigation, theming, native Share Point web parts, and custom components Assess requirements critically and favor out-of-the-box Share Point capabilities wherever they provide an appropriate solution Push back on unnecessary custom development, particularly where custom code provides only cosmetic or marginal functional benefit Build reusable components, patterns, and structures that can support the subsequent rollout rather than requiring redevelopment

CROSS-TENANT BUILD & HANDOVER

Maintain a working replica of the client's intended site structure within our Microsoft 365 tenant using synthetic content only Design solutions specifically for deployment across a tenant boundary where the development environment and client environment cannot be directly accessed Create and maintain portable deployment artefacts, including PnP provisioning templates, SPFx .sppkg packages, site scripts, theme JSON, configuration files, and required design assets Identify tenant-specific dependencies and ensure they are documented and configurable during deployment Anticipate differences between the development and client environments, including permissions, policies, existing branding, retention settings, app catalog configuration, and other tenant-level constraints Develop deployment runbooks that allow a non-technical client maintainer to deploy the solution with minimal external assistance Include validation, troubleshooting, and rollback procedures in deployment documentation Support the client through deployment without directly accessing or modifying their production environment

SHAREPOINT IMPLEMENTATION & SPFX

Implement modern Share Point solutions using native Share Point functionality wherever appropriate Develop production-quality SPFx web parts and extensions using React and Type Script Manage the complete SPFx development workflow, including development, build, bundling, packaging, testing, and deployment preparation Use PnP Power Shell, provisioning templates, PnPjs, and related tooling to automate and reproduce Share Point configurations Configure modern Share Point site designs, site scripts, hub sites, navigation, page layouts, themes, and native web parts Use Microsoft Graph where Microsoft 365 data or functionality cannot be appropriately provided through native Share Point capabilities Understand API permission scopes and the administrative consent required for Microsoft Graph integrations Use supported Share Point customisation approaches and avoid fragile CSS injection or unsupported techniques that may break with Microsoft updates

DESIGN FIDELITY, RESPONSIVENESS & ACCESSIBILITY

Translate approved visual designs and mockups into accurate, production-quality Share Point pages Implement designs faithfully across spacing, typography, layouts, component states, interactions, and responsive behaviour Work closely with the Graphic Designer to identify technical constraints or design conflicts early and agree practical solutions Build responsive experiences that work effectively across desktop, tablet, and mobile form factors Ensure delivered pages and components meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility requirements Apply appropriate semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, colour contrast, focus states, alternative text, and accessible interaction patterns Monitor page performance and minimise unnecessary client-side processing and impact on first render

CLIENT ENABLEMENT

Work directly with the client's Share Point maintainer, who has no formal coding or design background Conduct paired deployment sessions where the client's maintainer performs the deployment while you provide guidance and troubleshooting support Explain technical solutions and deployment procedures in clear, practical language without unnecessary jargon Teach the maintainer how to operate, configure, and maintain the delivered solution Produce documentation that enables the client to continue managing the solution after the engagement ends

DELIVERY & ROLLOUT SHAPING

Identify technical risks and communicate them early, particularly where requirements may require unsupported functionality, additional custom development, or unresolved client decisions Design reusable components and patterns that can support the larger rollout Contribute technical input to the planning and estimation of subsequent phases Maintain a pragmatic focus on delivering within the pilot's budget and timeline

Who are you?

Education & Professional Experience

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field5+ years of professional experience working with Share Point, including at least 3 years working with Share Point Online and modern Share Point experiences Proven experience delivering Share Point intranets, communication sites, or modern digital workplace solutions A portfolio of delivered Share Point intranet or communication-site projects that you can demonstrate and discuss Previous consulting or contract delivery experience Experience working with security-constrained, regulated, or otherwise restricted client environments is highly desirable Experience working as the primary or sole Share Point specialist on a project is highly desirable Professional proficiency in English; French or another relevant client language is a plus

Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Share Point Online modern experiences Strong understanding of communication sites, team sites, hub sites, site designs, site scripts, navigation, themes, page layouts, lists, libraries, and native web parts Proven production experience developing SPFx web parts and extensions Strong hands-on experience with React and Type Script Experience with the complete SPFx build, bundle, package, and deployment workflow Solid HTML and CSS fundamentals Practical understanding of accessibility and experience delivering WCAG 2.1 AA-compliant interfaces Strong hands-on experience with PnP Power Shell Experience creating repeatable and maintainable provisioning processes Understanding of Graph API permissions, delegated/application permissions, and tenant administrator consent Familiarity with REST APIs and authentication concepts is expected Good understanding of the Share Point App Catalog and SPFx approval process Understanding of what a tenant administrator must approve before custom code or integrations can run Familiarity with Share Point permissions, application permissions, API scopes, and tenant-level configuration Experience in preparing deployment packages and technical documentation for administrators Working knowledge of Power Automate and Power Apps Ability to recognise when Power Platform provides a simpler or more cost-effective solution than custom SPFx development Understanding of Share Point integration with Power Platform and associated deployment considerations

Interpersonal Skills

Comfortable taking ownership as the sole Share Point specialist on an engagement Able to work independently without direct access to the client's production environment Strong troubleshooting skills, including the ability to diagnose issues from screenshots, logs, configuration information, and user feedback Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce precise and practical deployment documentation Able to teach and enable a client maintainer without assuming prior coding or Share Point expertise Pragmatic and able to distinguish between genuine technical requirements and unnecessary customization Proactive in identifying dependencies, risks, and decisions that could affect delivery

Benefits

Real ownership: One specialist, one client, clear deliverables. Nobody sits between you and the work A puzzle worth solving: Delivering into a tenant you cannot touch is a real engineering problem. Getting the handover model right is most of the value we are selling Runway beyond the pilot: The pilot is the audition for a multi-use-case rollout
