About the role We're building high-performance, consumer-facing mobile products for a fast-growing market, and we need a senior engineer who treats native development as a craft — not a compromise. This is a dual-native role. You'll write pure native code for both platforms: Swift / Objective-C on i OS and Kotlin / Java on Android — designing and shipping features side by side across the two. You'll own architecture decisions, set the quality bar, and ship apps that feel genuinely at home on each OS. This is a native-only position. We are not looking for cross-platform framework developers — no Flutter, no React Native. We care about platform-specific performance, native UI/UX fidelity, and full control over the runtime, and we hire people who feel the same way. What you'll do Design, build, and maintain native i OS and Android applications from architecture through to App Store / Play Store release. Own end-to-end feature delivery on both platforms — from technical design to production and post-launch performance. Make and defend architecture decisions (MVVM / MVI / Clean Architecture), keeping the codebase modular, testable, and maintainable as it scales. Integrate with REST / Graph QL APIs, handle real-time data, and build reliable offline-first and sync behavior. Optimize for performance, battery, memory, and startup time — and profile relentlessly when something isn't right. Implement robust localization, including full Arabic RTL support and multi-language handling. Write unit and UI tests, review peers' code, and help shape CI/CD and release pipelines. Mentor mid-level developers and raise the technical standard of the whole mobile team. Required experiencei OSStrong production experience in Swift and working knowledge of Objective-C (including maintaining legacy code). Deep command of UIKit and Swift UI, Auto Layout, and the app lifecycle. Solid grasp of memory management (ARC), Swift concurrency (async/await), Combine, and GCD. Comfortable with Xcode, Instruments, and the full App Store submission and provisioning process. Android Strong production experience in Kotlin and Java. Deep command of the Android SDK, Jetpack components, Coroutines, and Flow. Solid grasp of the Android lifecycle, memory management, and background execution constraints. Comfortable with Android Studio, Gradle, and the full Play Store release process. Cross-cutting5+ years building and shipping native mobile apps, with published apps you can point to. Strong architecture fundamentals: clean separation of concerns, dependency injection, modularization. Solid experience with REST / Graph QL, JSON, Web Sockets, push notifications, and secure local storage. Confident with Git, code review, automated testing, and CI/CD. You care about detail — animations, empty/loading/error states, edge cases — not just "it compiles."Nice to have Experience with booking, e-commerce, loyalty, or other transaction-heavy consumer apps. Familiarity with the GCC / KSA market and Arabic-first product design. Experience mentoring or leading a small mobile team. Exposure to analytics, crash reporting, and A/B testing tooling. Working knowledge of accessibility standards on both platforms. Who you are You'd rather write two excellent native apps than one compromised shared one. You care about how an app feels on each platform, not just whether it runs. You take ownership — you don't wait to be told when something's slow, broken, or badly structured. You communicate clearly, review code generously, and lift the people around you.
