Role Description:<br>This is a full-time, on-site Roads & Highway Design Engineer role based in Cairo, Egypt. The engineer will develop and refine road and highway alignment designs, prepare detailed engineering drawings, and support the preparation of design reports and technical documentation. Daily tasks include coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, analyzing traffic and transportation data, and integrating drainage and roadway safety considerations into designs. The role involves reviewing standards and regulations, participating in design reviews, and assisting in resolving design challenges during project execution. The engineer will also support communication with clients and authorities, ensuring designs meet project requirements, local regulations, and sustainability objectives.<br><br>Qualifications:<br>Candidates should possess strong skills in Highway Design and Highway Engineering. Candidates should possess solid capabilities in Roadway Design and Transportation Planning. Candidates should possess relevant expertise in Drainage Design for roads and highways. Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., Auto CAD, Civil 3D, Open Roads or similar) is beneficial. MUST be ready to join Immediately. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline is required; a master’s degree is an advantage. Experience working on road, highway, or transportation infrastructure projects, preferably with consulting firms. Knowledge of applicable design standards and codes, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication, teamwork, and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and quality.
