ROLE: We are looking for a Broadcast Technician to support the setup and operation of live streaming broadcasts, especially for sports and live events. The role will be responsible for connecting broadcast equipment, configuring live streams, monitoring quality, and troubleshooting technical issues during broadcasts. Connect cameras to encoders and configure the complete camera-to-stream workflow. Configure live streams including resolution, frame rate, bitrate, codec, audio, and keyframe settings. Understand and work with streaming protocols such as RTMP, SRT, and HLS. Understand basic video formats and technologies including SDI, HDMI, NDI, and IP video. Monitor live streams for video/audio quality, stability, bitrate, and latency. Troubleshoot issues related to cameras, audio, encoders, network connectivity, and streaming. Perform technical checks before live events and ensure all equipment is ready. Monitor network performance, including upload bandwidth, latency, and packet loss. Support backup solutions such as 4G/5G, secondary internet connections, and backup equipment. Coordinate with the technical and content teams during live events.
