Job description <div> <div> <p> <strong> <span>Responsibilities include the following:</span> </strong> </p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead the architecture, design, development, and optimization of complex optical systems and components for sensor products.</p> </li> <li> <p>Provide technical leadership across multiple optics development programs and technology initiatives.</p> </li> <li> <p>Provide technical leadership for optical subsystem integration with MEMS, mechanical, electronics, software, and overall sensor system architectures.</p> </li> <li> <p>Lead the investigation and resolution of complex optical performance characterization, alignment, reliability, and integration challenges.</p> </li> <li> <p>Define and review optical requirements, specifications, tolerances, performance budgets, and validation strategies.</p> </li> <li> <p>Guide optical technology selection, feasibility assessments, and innovation initiatives.</p> </li> <li> <p>Review and approve optical designs, technical analyses, test methodologies, and engineering documentation.</p> </li> <li> <p>Mentor senior and junior optics engineers and contribute to technical capability development.</p> </li> <li> <p>Drive technical decision-making and trade-off analyses across multiple development programs.</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate with suppliers, research institutions, and external partners on technology evaluations, component selection, and qualification activities.</p> </li> <li> <p>Support new technology development, proof-of-concept activities, product roadmaps, and innovation initiatives.</p> </li> <li> <p>Contribute &amp; Lead IP development activities, patent initiatives, proof-of-concepts, and prototypes.</p> </li> <li> <p>Promote continuous improvement of optics engineering methodologies, tools, processes, and design practices.</p> </li> </ul> </div> </div> Job requirements <div> <div> <p> <strong> <span>Qualifications:</span> </strong> </p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor s degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, Photonics, Applied Physics, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline; Master s or PhD degree is an advantage.</p> </li> <li> <p>5+ years of experience in optical system design, development, characterization, and sensor-related technologies.</p> </li> <li> <p>Deep knowledge of optical design principles, imaging systems, photonics, optical modeling, characterization, and performance analysis.</p> </li> <li> <p>Expert-level experience with optical design and simulation tools.</p> </li> <li> <p>Extensive Knowledge with optical laboratory equipment, testing methodologies, and data analysis techniques.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong technical leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Experience working in multidisciplinary product development environments.</p> </li> <li> <p>Familiarity with any scripting language is preferable.</p> </li> <li> <p>Excellent documentation skills.</p> </li> <li> <p>Excellent command of English language.</p> </li> <li> <p>Teamwork orientation, effective verbal &amp; written communication skills, have tendency towards creativity &amp; innovation.</p> </li> <li> <p>Able to pro-actively communicate with different teams and work under pressure.</p> </li> <li> <p>The ability to work on a dynamic culture for a growing high-tech product company with challenging environment.</p> </li> <li> <p>Pro-active initiative.</p> </li> </ul> </div> </div> <div> <div></div></div>
