Role Objective (Outsourced) To supervise and optimize day-to-day production activities in a pump manufacturing environment. This role integrates technical supervision, Lean manufacturing initiatives, and proactive equipment maintenance management to ensure zero downtime and high-quality output. Key Responsibilities Shop Floor Supervision: Directly oversee machining centers, dynamic balancing stations, pump assembly lines, painting booths, and performance testing rigs. Asset Management & Service Bulletins: Execute and track Service Bulletins for all line equipment to ensure machinery is upgraded and maintained per manufacturer standards. Key Responsibilities Inspection & Testing: Perform factory acceptance tests (FAT), routine testing, dielectric/hipot testing, contact resistance, and primary/secondary injection testing on LV & MV switchgears, MCCs, and control panels. Quality Assurance Audits: Execute Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) for incoming raw electrical components, sub-assemblies, wiring, and finished product panels. Non-Conformance Management: Identify, document, and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) during line assembly, conducting root-cause analysis (8D, CAPA) and coordinating corrective actions with production teams. Schematic & Blueprint Review: Verify panel assembly against single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematic drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and customer design specifications. ISO Compliance & Reporting: Maintain complete QA/QC documentation, calibration records of testing instruments, and factory quality logs according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards. Vendor & Material Verification: Inspect raw materials and incoming components from suppliers to ensure adherence to technical requirements and CHINT global quality benchmarks. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Experience: 2 to 5 years of proven experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance within an electrical panel builder, switchgear manufacturing, or transformer factory environment. Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of LV/MV switchgears (e.g., IEC 61439 standard), circuit breakers, busbars, power distribution panels, and protection relays. Testing Proficiency: Hands-on experience operating electrical test kits (megger, high-voltage testers, relay test sets, multimeters). Certifications: ISO 9001 internal auditor or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification is an asset. Skills: Excellent schematic reading ability, analytical problem-solving, and good command of English (written and verbal).
