In this position, you will be responsible for monitoring food, beverage, and operational costs, ensuring accurate inventory control, and supporting financial reporting in line with IHG standards.<br><br>A little taste of your day-to-day:<br><br>Every day is different at IHG, but you’ll mostly be:<br><br><ul><li>Monitoring and controlling food & beverage costs in line with the budget and forecast.</li><li>Conducting daily, weekly, and monthly inventory checks for food, beverage, and operating supplies.</li><li>Verifying store issues, purchase orders, and goods received notes for accuracy.</li><li>Reviewing recipes, portion control, and menu costing to ensure profitability.</li><li>Preparing daily and monthly cost reports and variance analysis.</li><li>Coordinating with Kitchen, Stewarding, Purchasing, and Receiving departments to ensure proper cost control procedures.</li><li>Investigating discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.</li><li>Ensuring compliance with internal control procedures and IHG financial standards.</li><li>Assisting in month-end closing activities related to cost and inventory.</li><li>Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate cost data.</li><li>Monitoring waste, spoilage, and pilferage, and reporting irregularities.</li><li>Maintaining accurate records of stock movements and cost documentation.</li><li>Participating in audits and stock takes as required.</li><li>Promoting teamwork and quality service through strong communication with all departments.<br><br></li></ul>What we need from you<br><br><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Cost Control or Cost Accounting, preferably in a hotel environment.</li><li>Strong knowledge of inventory management and cost control systems.</li><li>Good understanding of food & beverage operations.</li><li>Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.</li><li>Experience with hotel systems (e.g., Opera, Micros, or similar) is an advantage.</li><li>Good communication skills in English and Arabic.<br><br></li></ul>What We Offer<br><br>We give our people everything they need to succeed, from a competitive salary that rewards all their hard work to a wide range of benefits designed to help them live their best work life – including a full uniform, impressive room discounts, and some of the best training in the business.<br><br>Our mission is to welcome everyone and create inclusive teams where we celebrate differences and encourage colleagues to bring their whole selves to work.
