<p>Manage and / or perform the design, implementation and start-up phases of capital investment projects on the manufacturing site, within the defined scope of responsibility or specialization.<br>Ensure that the objectives of the investment project charter, design specifications and Nestl standards are implemented and applied.<br>Enhance business objectives, product quality and plant operation/performance while ensuring that people health and safety, product safety, and environment are never compromised.<br>This Includes:<br>Preparing designs, project controls and specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production, transportation, installation, testing and/or commissioning of new infrastructure, facilities, equipment, etc.<br>Monitoring progress and performance against the project management plans; taking action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays.<br>Identifying, developing, and gathering the resources necessary to ensure a successful project life cycle.<br>Provide support to preparing engineering standards, designs and work specifications, selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.</p><p>A DAY IN THE LIFE</p><p>Before starting the project design phase:</p><p>Support the Project Engineering Manager in developing the investment project charter and ensure that it is strictly followed throughout the project.</p><p>During project design phase:</p><p>Execute the basic and detailed design of the project based on Nestl Corporate Business Principles, Nestl standards, local regulations, the defined User Requirements Specifications "URS" and the TPM characteristics of a unit operation (safety, quality, affordability, maintainability, operability and reliability). Ensure by design the workers, and operators, safety during both the construction and the ongoing operation of the plant.</p><p>During the project implementation phase:</p><p>Ensure that the engineering side of the project is implemented (e.g. buildings, equipment erections, piping, utilities, etc.) in accordance with the defined timing, cost and quality, the URS and the characteristics of a unit operation. And that all of the elements of the project (including technical people training, as needed) is performed in such a way that safety is always guaranteed on the whole project site and that a vertical start-up is assured.<br>Select and qualify contractors and coordinate their activities.<br>Ensure that Nestl standards are applied.</p><p>During the start-up phase of the project:</p><p>Support the Operations and Start-Up Leader and their team to ensure a smooth transition to operations after the qualification and verification of the installation.<br>Contribute to and support the preparation and distributing the engineering project documentation, including the engineering part of the project final report and provide feedback to the Maintenance Prevention System.<br>Ensure proper project closing and H/O to the relevant stakeholders.</p><p>During the whole project life:</p><p>Promote development of environmental-friendly and sustainable solutions.</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>Bachelor of Engineering preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineer<br>3-5 years in capital investment projects development and implementation in food industry.<br>Determination of methods to minimize the likelihood of injuries or damages to people and/or equipment (SH&E).<br>Factory operations (as required).<br>FMCG Background<br>Knowledge of the requirements for a good capex submission and the available tool based on available online trainings and workshops.</p>
