As part of OTAK’s continued growth and expansion plan for the second half of 2026, we are looking for a Senior Technical Sales Engineer – Solar Energy to join our team. Job Purpose The Senior Technical Sales Engineer – Solar Energy is responsible for driving business growth and achieving assigned sales targets by identifying new opportunities, developing client relationships, and delivering technically sound and commercially competitive Solar Energy solutions. The role combines Technical Sales, Business Development, and Solar Engineering, covering the full pre-sales cycle from opportunity identification and technical assessment through solution design, techno-commercial proposals, negotiation, and successful closure. The position focuses on mega-scale and utility-scale Solar PV projects, large C&I applications, Off-Grid & Hybrid Solar Systems, Energy Storage Systems (ESS/BESS), and Solar Pumping Systems. Key Accountabilities Sales & Business Development Generate new Solar Energy business opportunities and actively develop new customers and markets. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, developers, and EPC contractors. Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and opportunity qualification through proposal, negotiation, and closure. Achieve assigned sales targets while maintaining acceptable profitability and commercial margins. Develop existing accounts and identify additional business opportunities. Maintain an active sales pipeline and conduct regular client visits and business development meetings. Monitor market trends, competitors, technologies, and emerging business opportunities. Technical Sales & Solution Development Review RFQs, RFPs, specifications, drawings, BOQs, and client technical requirements. Conduct site visits and technical assessments to develop suitable Solar Energy solutions. Prepare and optimize Solar PV designs, system sizing, layouts, SLDs, electrical calculations, and energy yield analysis. Select and technically evaluate PV modules, inverters, mounting systems, ESS/BESS, transformers, protection devices, and other system components. Develop technical solutions for mega-scale, utility-scale, C&I, Off-Grid, Hybrid, ESS/BESS, and Solar Pumping applications. Perform load analysis, battery sizing, system configuration, and equipment selection for Off-Grid and Energy Storage solutions. Develop value-engineered solutions that balance technical performance, reliability, competitiveness, and project cost. Ensure proposed solutions comply with applicable standards, specifications, and client requirements. Techno-Commercial Proposals & Closing Prepare and review BOQs, technical proposals, compliance statements, technical clarifications, and techno-commercial offers. Coordinate with Procurement and suppliers for equipment selection, technical evaluation, costing, and competitive pricing. Lead technical discussions and presentations with clients and consultants. Respond to technical and commercial clarifications throughout the sales process. Participate in commercial negotiations and follow up on proposals until successful order or project closure. Ensure proper handover of awarded projects to the relevant execution teams. Reporting & Coordination Maintain accurate sales pipeline, forecasts, opportunity reports, and client visit reports. Track opportunities against assigned sales targets and expected closures. Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Projects, and other internal teams during the pre-award stage. Provide post-award technical clarification and support when required. Required Skills & Competencies Strong Technical Sales and Business Development capabilities within the Solar Energy sector. Strong knowledge of Solar PV design, sizing, engineering calculations, and system optimization. Strong understanding of mega-scale, utility-scale, and C&I Solar PV systems. Good knowledge of Off-Grid/Hybrid Solar, ESS/BESS, and Solar Pumping Systems. Strong capability in preparing BOQs, technical proposals, and techno-commercial offers. Strong customer acquisition, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills. Strong commercial awareness, value-engineering, and problem-solving capabilities. Target-driven and results-oriented with a strong business development mindset. Very good command of English. Proficiency in PVsyst and Auto CAD. Required Education Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum Required Experience Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Solar Energy, with strong exposure to Technical Sales, Pre-Sales, Business Development, Solar Engineering, and/or EPC Solar projects. Proven experience in developing new business opportunities and achieving sales targets. Experience in preparing and presenting technical and techno-commercial Solar solutions. Hands-on experience in mega-scale and/or utility-scale Solar PV projects. Practical experience in Off-Grid Solar and Energy Storage Systems (ESS/BESS). Experience in Solar Pumping Systems. Experience dealing with clients, consultants, developers, EPC contractors, and suppliers. Owning a personal car and holding a valid driving license are mandatory requirements for this position.

Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain accurate standard costing for finished products, semi-finished products, and raw materials. Calculate and analyze product costs including:Raw materials Packaging materials Direct labor Manufacturing overhead Utilities Production losses and yield Review Bills of Materials and production recipes in coordination with R&D, Production, Supply Chain, and Finance. Analyze actual manufacturing costs against standard costs. Investigate and report:Material price variance Material usage variance Yield variance Labor variance Manufacturing overhead variance Monitor production waste, losses, rework, and abnormal consumption. Review inventory valuation for raw materials, packaging materials, WIP, and finished goods. Monitor slow-moving, obsolete, and non-moving inventory. Participate in physical inventory counts and investigate inventory discrepancies. Prepare product profitability and contribution-margin analysis. Support management in pricing decisions and new-product feasibility studies. Work closely with R&D on costing new recipes and product-development projects. Evaluate cost-saving initiatives and validate their actual financial impact. Prepare monthly cost-control reports and management dashboards. Support annual budgeting and forecasting of manufacturing costs. Establish appropriate costing controls, procedures, and approval processes. Identify cost leakage and recommend corrective actions. Provide management with clear analysis to improve margins and operational efficiency. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant cost-control/cost-accounting experience. Strong experience within food & beverage manufacturing is required. Strong understanding of manufacturing costing and inventory accounting. Experience with BOMs, recipes, production yields, wastage, and standard costing. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with ERP systems is required; SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar systems is an advantage. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify the operational reason behind cost variances. Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, Production, R&D, Procurement, Warehouse, and Supply Chain.
