Distance Infra (DI) is expanding its professional team and is currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced GIS Specialist to join our office in Zahraa El Maadi, Cairo. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our infrastructure and engineering projects through effective spatial data management, advanced GIS analysis, mapping, and the development of reliable geospatial solutions. The position will also involve close coordination with multidisciplinary engineering and BIM teams to ensure that GIS data is accurately integrated into project workflows and supports informed decision-making.???? Position: GIS Specialist Experience Required: 5–10 years Location: Zahraa El Maadi, Cairo, Egypt Key Responsibilities:Collect, process, organize, and maintain spatial data from multiple sources. Build and manage geodatabases in accordance with industry best practices. Ensure the quality, accuracy, consistency, and integrity of GIS data. Prepare and continuously update GIS layers, maps, and attribute databases. Perform spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and mapping to support infrastructure design and planning activities. Develop thematic maps, layouts, asset maps, and other GIS deliverables. Support infrastructure asset management through accurate and structured geospatial information. Coordinate with Roads, Wet Utilities, Dry Utilities, Landscape, Planning, and BIM teams to integrate GIS information with engineering and project data. Support field data collection activities and GPS surveys when required. Prepare professional reports, dashboards, maps, and visualizations for project teams and management. Maintain proper project documentation and follow established project procedures and standards.???? Required Software & Technical Skills:Strong practical experience with:Arc GIS Pro / Arc Map Arc GIS Online Arc GIS Enterprise / Portal QGIS – preferred Auto CAD – for engineering drawing coordination and reference Microsoft Excel – for data management and analysis Other GIS tools such as Model Builder, Spatial Analyst, and related geoprocessing applications.
