That is why synchronous condensers are being installed across the Kingdom alongside the new solar and wind plants.<br>Bahrawy Consultancy Group is the engineering consultant on 14 synchronous condenser projects in KSA — acting for the OEM on all fourteen, and additionally for the EPC contractor on eight of them. We are building the Cairo-based engineering team that will deliver them.<br>If you want your next five years spent on one large, technically serious programme rather than jumping between unrelated jobs, read on.<br>???? WHAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY DO<br>- Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, heat and mass balance, and system descriptions for the balance-of-plant: closed cooling water, lube oil and jacking oil, air and water cooling circuits, compressed air, demineralised and raw water, drainage, and fire water.- Size equipment and lines — pumps, heat exchangers, coolers, filters, tanks, valves — and produce the hydraulic and thermal calculations that back them up.- Write and review technical specifications, equipment datasheets, equipment lists and MTOs.- Review OEM and vendor deliverables against project specifications, applicable codes and Saudi utility requirements, and drive comments to closure.- Participate in design reviews, HAZOP and constructability sessions, and 3D model reviews.- Coordinate daily with electrical, I&C, civil and piping disciplines, and interface with the OEM's and the EPC contractor's engineering teams.- Support ITPs, pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures, and answer site technical queries.<br>✅ WHAT YOU MUST HAVE<br>- BSc in Mechanical or Power Engineering from an accredited university.- Minimum 5 years of process/mechanical design experience, with at least 3 on power generation, substation or heavy industrial projects.- Working command of ASME B31.1, ASME BPVC, API 610/682/614, TEMA and NFPA 850/851.- Strong hydraulic and thermal calculation ability — you can defend your numbers, not just run the software.- Auto CAD plus solid Excel. Your desk, your team and your working week are at our head office in El Nozha, Heliopolis. But the projects are in the Kingdom, and the engineers who own the design go there — for design review meetings with the OEM, the EPC contractor and the client, and for troubleshooting when a system does not behave the way the drawings said it would.<br>Trips are short and fully arranged and funded by the company: flights, accommodation, ground transport, visa and per diem.
