Follow up with all subordinates (Section Heads & Engineers) to ensure that they are performing their delegated tasks in accordance to the department policies and procedures. Manage Workflow including administrative part e.g. team assignments, team evaluation, appraisals, employee vacations, employee breaks …. etc. Train, coach and mentor team members and enforce career development, team building activities and strategic thinking. Ensure the performance of teams to conduct the assigned tasks within the planned duration. Review the progress of procurement activities related to all projects with assigned teams including review of procurement plan, progress of material submittal and issued purchase orders/subcontracts. Asist in preparing periodic performance reports for the section and provide input into the Procurement's performance report. Review the section progress reports and direct work plans to ensure alignment with the department targets. Review and approve the suggested vendors list for each of the project items. Review and approve all purchase orders and subcontracts issued by team members and reviewed by section heads. Coordinate with all Project Mangers, Operations directors and Operations Managing directors for following up projects’ progress and identifying urgent materials, services and equipment requirements. Participate in negotiation of Mega deals to ensure optimum value, delivery duration, terms and conditions considering the project cash flow and execution plan. Participate in strategic deals and long-term agreements with suppliers to get the maximum discount percentages and payment facilities to serve several projects and enhance cash flow. Review/analyze the possibilities to purchase or rent equipment’s and materials, research costs and expenditures by the Procurement Department and provide recommendations to improve internal procurement activities and sources.<br>Qualifications & Requirements Education: BSC in mechanical Engineering Total Years of Experience:12+ years’ experience in the same filed Certifications: PRMG/PMP/ CIPS
Job Description<br>Reports to: Project Director<br>Location: North Coast – Egypt (On-site)<br>Industry: Urban Development / Infrastructure / Real Estate/coastal and Marine projects<br>The Senior Contracts Manager is responsible for forming, developing, negotiating, and managing the full suite of contracts required for the successful delivery of South Med program. This includes construction, infrastructure, utilities, wave-breaker, coastal developments, artificial bays, Marina, ensuring the project meets its cost, schedule, and quality objectives while complying with legal and regulatory frameworks.<br>Responsibilities<br>Develop and administer all contract documents from the tender process through to contract closeout including variations and issue resolution for design, construction, and other project related contracts. Ensure that the requirements of the contract documents are implemented and maintained throughout the project duration. Lead the review and assessment of claims, disputes and variations. Interact with the Client representatives, the Project Management Consultant, and relevant Contractors in respect of all contractual matters. Assist in the drafting of commercial terms for design, engineering and/or construction services Prepare the contractual (front end) portion of the contract documents (while cursory reviewing the technical portion) to ensure congruity and to minimize patent ambiguities in the front end documents. Administration of on-going Contracts. Investigate contractual problems and recommend corrective action in accordance with the Contract. Prepare correspondence and maintain records necessary to ensure the effective administration of all contractual matters Prepare Contract variations. Administer contract close-out procedures to ensure that all terms and conditions of contracts have been complied with prior to final payment to contractors. Ensures that all warranties, bonds, insurances, guarantees, etc. are in place and maintained and updated in accordance with the Contract. Prepare for review Recommendations for Release of Retention and Bonds. Participate in the preparation of the contractual portion of the monthly Progress Reports. Prepare and maintain logs for Variations and Claims. Attend Commercial/Contracts Meetings and record minutes of meetings. Lead any tendering process, whether for construction or consultancy services, until award. Negotiate contracts until agreement is reached and signature takes place.<br>Qualifications<br>Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management (Master’s degree or MBA preferred). Minimum of 18+ years of experience in contract management within engineering, construction, or infrastructure sectors. Proven experience in large-scale projects, including residential, mixed-use and real estate development. Strong knowledge of FIDIC, EPC, and other international contract standards. Extensive experience in contract management, ideally within real estate, engineering sectors. Strong background in project management, contract law, and business operations. Familiarity with local and international laws governing construction and consultancy contracts. Professional certifications such as MRICS, PMP, or CCM are a plus.
Job Purpose:<br>To manage schedules, financial budgeting, cost monitoring, and document control activities for a group of projects in order to ensure that the assigned projects are timely completed and within the estimated budget.<br>Roles & Responsibilities Contribute in the preparation of Cost plan for the company based on the determined budget of the assigned projects. Audit preparation of cash flow for the assigned projects according to the previous defined cost reports. Provide statistical information to Tender Department Head regarding predefined cost and schedule activities and equipment and supervise the issuance of tender schedules and subsequent detailed schedules for newly awarded project. Follow up with Warehouse, Finance, Equipment, HR and Procurement Department Heads. Audit and evaluate the progress of the projects’ cost and schedule to consolidate between cost and planning and to enforce compliance with the proposed plan and budget. Cooperate with related staff in order to promote new techniques to develop or accelerate of projects’ schedule. Manage the analysis and identify deviations to the projects’ cost and schedule performance against the plan, and communicate the reasons with Project Managers in order to propose measures to correct and develop recovery plans for resolving projects’ problems to the Project Managers. Highlight and clarify claims regarding cost and schedule of the projects to Project Managers. Manage the implementation of the new project controls systems (software) in the assigned projects. Ensure the generation of different levels of reports in terms of cost, schedules, and documents of the assigned projects. Review and consolidate weekly and monthly status reports of cost, schedule, documents, resources and productivity for the assigned projects and provide input to the Business Unit Director. Ensure that the performance of various assigned tasks, and the conduct of project controls staff within the assigned projects are in accordance with the department's policies and procedures. Provide remedies for the project budget deviations.
