The role is responsible for developing and monitoring project budgets, tracking expenditures against approved plans, delivering cost forecasting and variance analysis, and supporting major initiatives such as new factories and capital projects with robust financial oversight.<br>Key Responsibilities:1- Budgeting & Financial planning· Develop and manage project budgets and cost plans for strategic and capital projects.· Ensure alignment between project scope, timelines, and financial resources throughout the project lifecycle.2- Cost Monitoring & Control· Monitor and control project expenditures against approved budgets, flagging deviations promptly.· Establish and enforce cost control standards and methodologies across strategic and capital projects.· Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive initiatives to improve financial efficiency.3- Financial Reporting & Decision Support· Provide cost forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting to project stakeholders and leadership.· Support decision-making through timely cost insights and financial evaluations.4- Capital Projects & Major Initiatives · Support major initiatives such as new factories and capital projects with dedicated cost control and financial oversight.· Coordinate with project managers and functional teams to track financial performance against project milestones and deliverables.5- Project Planning & Scheduling· Develop and maintain detailed project timelines and schedules for strategic and capital projects, in coordination with project managers.· Track progress against planned milestones, identifying schedule slippage and its potential financial impact.· Update project plans regularly to reflect actual progress, revised timelines, and re-forecasted completion dates.· Communicate timeline risks and dependencies to stakeholders, escalating delays that could affect budget or delivery commitments.<br>Technical competencies:· Project Cost Control & Budgeting· Financial Forecasting & Variance Analysis· Cost Control Standards & Methodologies· Capital Project Financial Management· Financial Reporting & Analysis· ERP / Project Financial Systems Proficiency· Cost-Benefit & Financial Evaluation Techniques
